I don’t usually write reviews but this deserves one! I’ve been here a few times and have always enjoyed, but the other night was particularly special for my wife and I. We walked in and were greeted by a new face we didn’t recognize. She immediately brought us to our favorite table (telepathic?) and brought us ice waters while we looked over the menu. We were celebrating our anniversary and she made it special by taking extra good care of us. The lamb was tremendous as always. The kitchen here is truly to die for as well. But great job on the new bartender hire, One King West! She makes a mean tanqueray martini even with the “in training” label on!
So.... I have been coming here for 3 years off and on and honestly they have the best staff and some of the best food, a true hidden gem in this area. But... They recently hired a waitress that makes you not want to come back. Here's a live version of what's happening because I'm here now. Her: would you like another glass of wine?Me: sure! Her: would you like a six or a 9 oz?Me: I didn't realize there was an option, what have I been getting this whole time? ( 2 glasses in)Her: well sir you never specified which one you want.Me: (awkwardly realizing that she is defensive way before she needs to be) that's fine I just didn't know there was an option of small or large glasses. Her: you just should have been more clear. I'll ask again, what size would you like?Me: is there a problem have I offended you somehow? Her: I just don't have time for this. What can I get you?Me: there are literally two other tables besides mine that's six people total....Her: whatever..So if you reach this point you've read everything and I appreciate it. Odd to say the least.Just thought I would share and do so "live" I still enjoyed my steak and my three glasses of wine. And the service/restaurants/Hotel has never been better,. Especially during covid. But I think they just made one little oopsie with this hire. This is a five star rating.for.me but I rated my night with a three-stars.
Amazing staffs. Great atmosphere and great food. It was very pleasant!
Beautiful, quaint and refined, the Teller's Bar gives an amazing experience to any customer interested in fine dining. Located in the King Street West hotel, it is a good option for customers seeking peace and plentiful choices.
Highly recommend the old fashioned. The glass is even gorgeous! So unique! The bar often has announcements that are sent to you via text after check in. It is so helpful to know the half price options or happy hour specials. Quite lovely!
Great, friendly staff. Good food. Nice atmosphere. Also had possibly the best Old Fashion in my life (Woodford Estates)
It was awesome to have a chance to relax in the lounge of an incredible Hotel and the Flatbed type pizza that I got was delicious. I met Guest and Residents and learned about the history of the hotel. Truly a chance to get to relax and meet the people staying at this Eclectic Hotel
We had an amazing dinner @the Tellers Bar. Wonderful service and ambiance. Andreas ( not sure if his name is Andreas) made us feel like we've been there thousand times. Just a warm, cozy service, safe and enjoyable in every aspect.
I decided to try this place for dinner out. I was looking for a nice quiet place to have a special dinner. The "restaurant" is just a few tables randomly scattered in a hotel lobby. Decided not to stay. Would have been like eating dinner in the Eaton Centre food court. I left.
Better ambiance than most hotel bars, and the truffle fries are delicious. Pricing is what you would expect downtown.
