Best birthday ever!!The photo It’s only eggs, salmon and ikura( salmon roe)This are my son’s favorite sushi!!He was much happier!!
It was a nice Japanese take out restaurant before and I was repeating customer all the time . The quality is getting worse and worse after the restaurant getting busy. The tempura Shrimp which they used inside of Dynamite rolls is not fresh. I believe they made it from another place because they don’t have the kitchen for deep fried food. It’s terrible the way they cut the Sashimi. It is no difference than chopping the pork at butcher store. It is shame to charge such high prices for such low quality sushi. I don’t want rate any stars!
high quality fish. highly recommend
Great fish - they help you cut the fish into sashimi style pieces too if you ask (they also offer to do so at checkout). Good selection of items as well. Their sushi isn't the best though so I'd stick with just getting sashimi. There's usually a line on weekends especially during the lunch hour and after work so plan ahead!
Taro always has the freshest fish for amazing sashimi and sushi. You can buy the fishes in pieces or they can slice it into a sashimi platter for you. They always have bluefin toro and yellowtail Hamachi. However, during our recent visit, they started charging money for each packets of soya sauce. Their reason is that their supply chain has increased prices and in order to prevent increasing fish pricing, they decided to charge for soya sauce. I totally understand the reason, but it doesn't make sense, as a sushi shop, to not provide at least 1 or 2 packets of soya sauce with their fish. I totally understand if they charge for extra soya sauce. It is like if McDonald's did not provide any sauce with your mcnuggets and charged for even the first sauce packet.[UPDATE] Recently, since 2022, they have started providing soya sauce packets again. Not sure if the supply chain is back to normal or they increased the fish prices. Either way, they are back to normal and fish still fresh and tasty.
This use to be our favourite sushi place. For the last 2 orders, the quality of the sushi dropped significantly. The avocado is browned, the fish is dry and not fresh, the rice lost its texture. I’m quite disappointed in my most recent order.
Note: Uni (pictured) was not purchased at Taro’s Fish.Such a nice change from a typical sushi outing at a restaurant. Our group of 4 wanted to stay in to enjoy some sashimi so we ordered some fillets, tamago and tako wasabi from Taro’s Fish. Picked up chutoro, otoro and salmon to cut ourselves at home. It was the perfect amount for us, and we can taste the freshness/quality of the fish.
How disappointing when I trusted the google review a 4+ review. You can even tell from the photo that the RICE, the foundation of a sushi is TERRIBLE! Not sure if I tasted any sushi vinegar in there. The rice was way too soggy for the sushi and there’s way too much rice! It’s just terrible how they can’t even get the rice right. The fish is just so-so. So definitely not worth the price. If you are willing to pay this price, I suggest you go for the food court sushi to make it more with it.Be expected to pay for your soy sauce. Yes they cost 10cents per packet. It’s the first time in my takeout history that a sushi place does not give you soy sauce. Crazy.
the clerk in the store are very rude! If you want people to sanitize their hand, you can ask nicely or put a big sign on the door! Why are you yelling at the customer?
price is reasonable for this good quality of sashimi
