Yummy, warm tapioca crepes! Savoury and sweet options. It is all Celiac friendly and it's all gluten free. You must try their warm buns with the caramel sauce!
This was my first time eating crepes with tapioca. I love crepes and tapioca crepes were sure to please all my taste buds.I had "vegan new love -strawberry tapioca", it was super delicious !! If I could give it a new name I could call it "love at every bite". Crunchy outside and juicy inside. Ingredients were fresh, pink beets base, strawberries, vegan, hazelnut, pecans. It was also gluten-free, vegan and lactose free.It is cooked infront of you with all the fresh ingredients in perfect way. I totally loved the experience. I cannot wait to go again and try other menu options. Totally recommended.
This is a Brazilian restaurant offering savory tapioca crepes, sweet tapioca crepes, and acai bowls. They are all quite pretty. They also have sides, drinks, and will soon have smoothies. All sweet tapioca are vegetarian. All tapioca crepes can be customized. You can also build your own tapioca and acai bowls. The acai bowls (more like a cup) come in 3 sizes: small (9 oz, $8.50), medium (16 oz, $13.50), large (20 oz, $15.50). Note that the named versions only come in medium or large. All tapioca crepes are made in front of you. They can make up to 2 crepes at a time so if there are many people in front of you, prepare for a wait. All acai bowls are made in the back. The Bruno Acai Bowl (medium, $13.50) was a nice sweet dish without being overly sweet. It contains strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, granola, hazelnut spread, and cocoa nibs. These are all items I like so it couldn't go wrong! It is quite filling so it could be an entire meal for one person. Yum. I always say start a meal with dessert first! The We The North tapioca crepe ($9.50) is a savoury crepe. It contains laced white base (tapioca and cheese), pulled beef, sauteed onions, sweet drops (peppers), and secret sauce. The beef was very juicy. I don't usually eat peppers but since this was sweet, I was willing to give it a try and I didn't regret it! The tapioca has a crunchy side (since it was heated a few minutes on a hot plate/grill and a chewy side (since it is tapioca). The secret sauce is tasty. The balance of flavours was good. My wife liked it so much that she said we must go there and try another savoury crepe and a sweet crepe. There is an interesting side called "Little Dice" (6 for $6.50). It is Brazilian Northeast cuisine. It pairs well with their pepper jam or maple syrup. All their foods are gluten-free. There are no preservatives used. Vegetarian options are available. Their takeout bag is a paper bag (better for the environment than a plastic bag). There are a few seats by the entrance (and a swing!), counter seating, and 2 tables in a raised area. There is a little market selling items like tapioca fillings, guava paste, and Sweet Drop peppers. The one staff is very pleasant. There is soft upbeat Brazilian music.During pandemic times, there is plexiglass at the staff area. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible but there is no door button. There is one gender-neutral washroom but there are no wheelchair bars. There is neighbourhood street parking.Review 2022-011If you like my review, please give my review a thumbs up and click on my profile pic (at the top, on a mobile/cell phone), and click on "Follow"). I'm so glad ive finally found a place for acai bowls in Toronto. The Amazon party was delicious, and I'll have to come back to try the mango flavored one. Compared to the acai bowls I've had in Rio de Janeiro, these are less sweet. Still very good though!
tapi Go! hostel vibes with beautifully instagrammable decor, indoor raised 'terrace, and complete with an egg chair!Thank you to the team @yelptoronto for organizing this event--love that during this time where travel is difficult we are able to still experience a little bit of 'travel' in Toronto via food! I was especially excited to try @tapigotapioca for a number of reasons, one, being gluten intolerant restricts me from my things or produces a lot of pains in eating (literally).I decided to try: We the North, a savoury crepe laced white base with pulled beef with cheddar, sauteed onions, sweet drops, and secret sauce. Something cool: Sweet drop peppers comes from the Amazon rainforest and they are sweet and tangy/sour--honestly this entire crepe was perfect in texture, crispy tapioca, sweet heat and just all around robust flavours! Not at all spicy, just delicate sweet heat . The actual crepe reminds me of Bánh xèo, a crispy, stuffed rice pancake from Vietnam (savoury) and much more messier to eat but sooo good as well! The other crepe was New Love a pretty in pink (beet base) strawberry & Dulce de Leche dessert pancake topped with pecans oh how fitting for Valentine's Day AND affordable! This one was not nearly crunchy and texture reminded me of injera, an East African flatbread made of teff flour. I also enjoyed this crepe but personal preference preferred savoury! When making the crepe hydrated tapioca flour is grated onto a pan and is made to order with ingredients being added similar to an omelette station. Price point for a meal made to order options for meat lovers, vegetarians, vegans, etc deliciousnessHighly highly recommend, especially if you miss traveling--check out all the great cuisines we have here in Toronto! It is a short block from Ossington station or complete with bike rack AND @bikeshareto right outsideParking: Street or Green P about 5 min away.In the summer Christie Pitts is another short block away and this would make such a great picnic meal!
Stunningly good - had both the beef and breakfast wraps. It feels as if the wrap is heavy and will therefore be very filling - but after 2, just a very content feeling, much lighter than you would have thought. The ingredients and the way they interact are absolute perfection. The "Little Dice" are also tasty with great texture. I will be back to explore more of the menu!
This place is amazing !! Tapiocas and the fillings were super fresh and tasty. Very authentic. The interior is beautiful, and friendly staff. Cassava cake is great as well. A must try !!
This place is one of a kind when you want to try Brazilian dishes. The ambient is so cozy, and you can taste a bit o Brazil when you are there. My favourite tapioca is We the north, a mastermind combination with beef, cheese, and vegetables. The Açaí bowls are very tasteful with combinations even with tapioca. And last but not least, they serve Brazilian coffee, so your visit is worth it.
Loved their cassava cake, had to wait 10mins but it was hot and fresh after ordering... would definitely come back for this.
I got the Bruno Acai. Good combination of berries, kiwi and granola. But the chocolate was too sweet for me liking. Tapi Go has a cozy indoor seating. A bit pricey. But overall, the vibe and food was nice.
