After trying cupcakes from several other bakeries, I decided to go with Sweet Serendipity for my son’s birthday party. My guests shared the same view as I had when I first decided to order from here - delicious, moist cake AND equally delicious icing. Several people asked me where the cupcakes were from. I’ll definitely be ordering from here again!
A few years ago we got our wedding cupcakes from Sweet Serendipity, so when it came time for my daughter's birthday I was so pleased I could get these mini cupcakes done. The whole process was so easy - a quick email and EMT to order, then a truly contactless pickup (very grateful for this as I have a newborn at home and we're in yet another Covid wave). Of course the cupcakes are so delicious - not too sweet, perfectly moist with the perfectly dense icing in the perfect icing to cupcake ratio. You really can't go wrong ordering from here.
I've had the carrot cake and chocolate cakes before when they were well flavoured and fresh. So when I ordered ahead for both cakes in the winter holiday, I was shocked at the quality. The carrot cake was ok (tasted 1-2 days old), but the chocolate cake was inedible. It was a dried up puck. I know they had defrosted the cake before I picked it up (which I didn't think was an issue). But it took some muscle to cut a slice of solid sawdust (yes it was fully defrosted). My family who aren't as picky as me couldn't even eat the single sawdust cake slice so the whole cake landed in the trash with a heavy thunk. How could they even think of selling so gross a product? The store was closed for several weeks but the experience was so poor it left a lasting impression. I've told my family who used to buy there regularly never to buy from there again and they've learnt the lesson themselves. The other baked brownies and squares were just meh. It's hard to hate a bakery but if they can't meet basic freshness standards, they shouldn't be in business.
Products are excellent, like literally best in city. Only downside is that shop is not open storefront so you have to pre order anything you want. Also the owner is pretty paranoid about catching covid so if you don't happen to wear a mask be prepared for her to ask you to stand back while she places items on a bench for you to grab on your own.
A few years ago my neighbor shared his birthday cake with me, the cake was delicious. So when I went to order my own I noticed there was cupcakes. I've now placed several orders and I still haven't gotten to that cake I wanted. THE CUPCAKES! Heavenly. I'm a chocolate guy through and through but the strawberry and vanilla cupcakes are so flavourful it's unbelievable. Love those cupcakes. Keep up the great work.
Mmmmmmm, so good!!!I just picked up my order of 4 cupcakes, one butter tart, and a giant cupcake for my brother's family. Sharing the cupcakes with another family member, but oh my goodness, this is what quality tastes like!!!Let me tell you; Pina is the real deal when it comes to baking! She uses REAL BUTTER, REAL INGREDIENTS! None of this artificial sweeteners and processed oil.Sweet Serendipity is the best place to get your sweet fix! Got a carrot cake for my husband’s birthday. He and everyone who had it loved it. Quick response on emails and did what they said they would do. Very moist and delicious cake. Cream cheese frosting. I would order again.

Ordered my son's first birthday cake from here after reading the reviews and it was amazing! Pina worked with me on the design of the cake and she did a fantastic job. Every guest at our party said it was the best chocolate cake and I couldn't agree more! Will definitely be ordering from here in the future.
We've been ordering from Sweet Serendipity for every birthday, anniversary and 'I need a cake' moment for at least 5 years. Without fail, Pina delivers the MOST decadent, and delicious cakes. It's known in our extended family as 'the cake store', as if there are no other places from which to order! Pina's customer service is always friendly, responsive, and honest, and I so appreciate the care and attention she puts into everything. Throughout the pandemic she has brought much needed joy on many occasions, accommodating even last minute requests wherever she can.
