You must eat here, the waffles are sooooo good, the Benedict eggs also, everything is amazing, great service also, very affordable prices, great amount of food, perfect place for breakfast or even lunch, once of my favorite spots in town
Potato waffles are by far my favourite but the sides on this location were just “OK”. Salad was missing dressing other than that it was pretty good!Service was pretty average. I’m not sure if I’ll be coming back to this location.
As much as I LOVE how bright the colors are and how good the food actually looks, I was disappointed by the menu choices.If you just want chicken, the options are less as everything either comes with bacon or other meat. Since I didn't want other meat, I ordered "Sammy Benny" which contains salmon.I'm not a fan of salmon, so I was even more disappointed that it was delicious enough for me to forget it was salmon.Fruits were good, sauce was good, and salad was average. I was disappointed by the main course itself. Please add more JUST CHICKEN choices on the menu.I'd love to order from the new menu. Till then, I won't be ordering anything else.
I am fairly certain that the chicken from the chicken and waffles here is straight from Loblaws. Avoid ordering at all costs! It was a complete of money - chicken super dry and flavourless

While waiting for a ride, I went here for coffee and a snack. The cappuccino was disappointing, but I liked the ice cream waffle I ordered. The ambience seems to capture the image contained in the name: a bit scruffy. The music played was mostly not to my taste.
The service was very slow and the food was bad!! We will not return.We were seated very fast and we orderd our coffees and breakfast. We got the coffees in 10-15 minutes, by the time we had finished our coffees and talked for 45 minutes. Our food came.This is definitely not a breakfast place. A breakfast place needs to be fast. People come here for brunch and breakfast. You cannot keep us waiting for this long.After all this time of wait, we thought the food would be at least good. But it wasn’t. We had stomachache for hours!!Too much sourcream, way too much!! And we didn’t have any coffee or anything to drink with our breakfast. Because guess what? We had our coffees 45 minutes ago.And the coffees did not have any sugar or cream next to them.There was only one little boy working indoor which makes no sense at all. Of course he cannot do everything. Poor management!!
Today would be my 2nd time ordering from Starving Artist (Mt Pleasant) through Uber Eats. Last week I ordered Fully Loaded Waffle, which is a thick, crispy and fluffy potato waffle with sour cream, bacon, green onions and sour cream! It was absolutely delicious!!! Today I ordered b. Benny on a potato waffle and wow my taste buds were doing a happy dance this morning! I am so happy to find a unique breakfast restaurant that offers a refreshingly different breakfast menu then any other breakfast spot in the city. The maple baked beans are so good too!
