Service was slow on a not at all busy Saturday afternoon, food was almost cold, fries were not fresh-cut, even maybe old! The only good thing about my experience - and the only reason I'm not giving one star to the restaurant - was the taste of the burger which was actually good. The décor is nice, there's even a small TV next to each table for you to watch the match that's on air. There are different table options and even a patio to choose from.
Monday night we were here from 9:30PM to 11PM - WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! If this reaches to the owner, I really recommend you to check who the manager was on duty - short, curly hair, woman. It was 5 of us on a professional get together and service was so poor. We waited 30 minutes for our first drink, then another 30 for round 2, only to be told that it's now out of stock - we politely asked for the cheque and they didn't bother to check in with us for another 30 minutes - it wasn't even busy!! I have been in Canada for about 10 years now and never faced such a service - it was embarrassing for this to happen in front of our friends visiting from Ireland. Finally few of us stood up to look around and ask for help ''NOW this manager jumps out of no where and says ''If you leave it will be considered stealing?'' SERIOUSLY!!! We don't even need to steal from you girl! I went to talk to her and then she hides in the kitchen because she exactly knows what she just did - without even knowing what's going on! Server was sweet, nothing against her - but this manager definitely needs some help with her unprofessional/inconsiderate attitude. At least she should be aware of her job description to the very least. Everybody has good or bad days but you cannot just take it out on your customers for no reason at all!
My friends and I had the worst experience at Shoeless Joe’s. There were 8 of us who arrived for lunch prior to a Jay’s game. The restaurant was not busy at the time, yet we waited over half an hour for drinks, and even longer to place our food order. When our drinks were brought out there were mistakes, and when our food was brought out there were also mistakes. In one instance, my friend was given a bowl instead of a burger. The waitress said she’d rush the order. It came over 20 minutes later… the burger was dry, there was a long hair in the centre of it, and it had zero sauce. Her salad was brown. As for the other meals, the chicken sandwich had the smallest piece of chicken on it, and the souvlaki bowls had only one small skewer of chicken and zero dressing… overall poor experience.
Slow service. Food flavor combinations are not complementary. High calorie, high fat food choices abound
We had the worst service at Shoeless Joe’s. We had a large party, which we made reservations for and waited over an hour just to get drinks and only 4 drinks came out of a party of 14 people. Only 6 people got food. One entree (fish tacos) was completely cold and one entree was the wrong order. When we went up to the bar to ask where are drinks were since we waited so long, she said she never received a drink order and we should talk to our server and when we asked our server, she blamed the bar and said they were too busy. The table wasn’t set, so when the 6 people at our table were served, there were no napkins or cutlery. One of our friends had to get up and ask for cutlery because they weren’t bringing it out. Turns out, more than half of our table drinks and food was never rung in. We tried to talk to the manager about this and he wasn’t having it. No apologies or compensation at all. He was very dismissive and not once did he come up to our table, we had to seek him out and he just never came back, so we left. On our way out, there was another family leaving that had the same experience as us, they made reservations and didn’t even get served drinks (with 3 children) and waited over an hour. Absolutely the worst dining experience all of us have ever had! Especially for a large party, the restaurant should make sure to put in extra effort. I would not recommend this place at all. They should be embarrassed with how terrible service was and how poorly the manager did at not handling the situation correctly.
The wait staff and bartender were super friendly. Reasonably priced. Very close to sporting venues. (Blue Jays and Leafs) without paying venue prices. We will definitely be back.
Service was not great, when my friend and I walked in the servers/hosts looked at us as if we ruined their conversation. The server who waited on us also hardly said anything to us (ex. literally just brought menus/drinks over and walked away, didnt even respond to a "thank you"). She got nicer towards the end, but service was also slow despite it being dead. The glass they gave me was cracked. Our chicken wraps came out burnt, but the parmesean crusted rigatoni was honestly amazing; thats why i'm giving 3 stars.
Food was poor and made us feel unwell, plates were caked in food still and not washed, these were replaced with plates with chips in the side. Place is empty and waitresses looked fed up being there. Would not recommend. There are much better sports bars near by
My wife and I were staying in the hotel next door and decided to come here the first night. Due to how nice and friendly the staff were we came back every other night. The friendly staff were so helpful with directions and information about Toronto finding this place made our honeymoon even more memorable. They were very accomadating. The food was 10/10 and the social aspect of the bar itself is amazing
Like the place. Friendly and pro staff. Try garlic parmesan fries if you are a fan of the taste.
