My favorite go to spot in Toronto for the BEST shawarma! I've been going here for over 20 years and have always received exceptional service with a smile. I loved living close by years back and will now drive from the west just to get my shawarma cravings satisfied! The shawarmas are nicely stuffed with so many delicious ingredients and very flavorful! The tabbouleh salad is always fresh and very generous portions! Their soup is definitely a hidden gem that I discovered a few years back and love it. If you're looking for the real deal authentic Arabic food, Empire is the spot to go! Hands down the BEST shawarma spot in Toronto!
The lineup at this place was long! That’s always a good sign to trust if a place is worth trying.Needless to say, I liked it.Watching the food being made in front of you was great. I ate with my eyes just watching them put together wraps with fresh ingredients so I felt full before even taking a bite.Would definitely come back!
Ordered 4 falafel sandwiches and a beef shawarma plate. All very good. Staff are nice and welcoming. The only downside side is they didn't relay my order correctly and I found out after I paid, so it was a hassle to get it corrected.But good food.
I visited the store during opening hours and it wasn’t that busy. The cook was very friendly and I ordered 2 falafel sandwich.The cook( I forgot his name) was very cautious and used a new tongs just bcos I asked him a vegetarian option.The feeling of your food being prepared right before your eyes was very satisfying and the ingredients were fresh.The falafel was very crispy and their spicy hot sauce is their secret ingredient.Worth 13$ spent today ?
This was my first time at shawarma Empire. When they were making them, they looked small and they were in a small pita, but when I got to eating them they were densely packed with wonderful fillings the flavour was great and I really like their hot sauce. The pitas were good because they were drip resistant. Usually whenever I eat a shawarma from somewhere else a portion of it goes on my shirt.
People who gave 5 start probably doesn't have taste buds , I ordered chicken shawrma worst meat is not cooked well no seasoning , humus terrible bland and garlic sauce. Anyways I gave second chance I ordered falafel sandwich , I thought no one can mess up a falafel sandwich. it was burned raw inside strange old taste . GHADIR RESTRUANT might be little bit expensive but at least they know damn well how to make a falafel sandwich. At least they make it good . I order on the phone and when I walk in my order is not even started . Stop wasting money here ! Not worth it !
Ordered chicken shawarma plate, comes with bread. Chicken was delicious. However, not a fan of the texture of the rice. Wished they could've given more sauce. Vegetables were fresh. Staffs were polite.
1st time there. Smaller sized then I was used to but full of flavour and busting out with ingredients. Where other places have larger pita but put little inside. Delicious, filling and very satisfying
