We loved this place. It is located in front of a church, which had an open space and reflected some of the waning sun's warm light thereby giving the place a bright and vigorous atmoshpere. Went there on a Sunday at around 6-7PM, and it wasn't as packed as we were expecting. We didn't need any reservation at all since the inside was empty. Only the patio was full and packed. We went there with 3 kids, and they still enjoyed themselves. It is recommended to get a reservation or call in advance if you want to have a table outside. The place looks clean. The washrooms are clean. They have individual washrooms with locking doors, so you have all the privacy you want. No need to separate women and men's washroom since it's not necessary. The food was good. We loved the velvet brownies with whipped cream. Three of us got addicted to it.All in all, we had a great time. It had a nice ambience. A place to just relax, alone or with company. Come one, come all, and enjoy the place.

Good dinner; good atmosphere

We were recommended to come here for a Caesar cocktail while in Toronto so made sure to visit for Sunday brunch. I had the Big Score breakfast which was sizeable and very tasty. The Green Toast & Jam was a decent vegetarian option too for my husband. We enjoyed a couple of cocktails and a beer too during what turned out to be a chilled out booze brunch. What really set it apart from other brunch experiences though was the fantastic customer service. All the staff seemed to be friendly, attentive and super efficient. The chap looking after us was, I think, the friendliest server I’ve ever known. He didn’t stop smiling once, which was kind of infectious! The place filled out pretty quickly so I’m glad we got there when the bar opened. It’s obviously a very popular spot to catch up with friends. Great vibe to the place. We loved every minute!

Great food lots of gluten free options.Great vibes and staff are wonderful.Service is quick.Thank you and I would recommend this place??

Simply AMAZING! Food A1. Caesars A1. Service A1. Second time visiting. Definitely will come again.

Went for brunch with my partner to check out the menu. Famous for their Cesars...but be aware, it's a meal. Brunch was tasty, with vegetarian option of grilled Roma tomatoes instead of ham or bacon. Hash browns came out hot. Wings were a large portion but breaded underneath the sauce...prefer the "classic style" with BBQ sauce. Wings comes with two carrot sticks and two celery sticks without sauce. The lemon bowl was a nice touch to wash your saucy hands after eating wings...Service was good, friendly, and attentive staff. Does not have an espresso machine but has coffee for the brunch goers.Decor has exposed brick with industrial ceilings filled with alphabet fridge magnets! Several flat screen tvs playing sports or poker, whichever is your fancy. If you get a window seat, it is a nice view of St James Church and the hustle of busy Toronto street traffic. The magnets continue into the downstairs cave to the washrooms. Individual stalls with seperate toilet and wash basins. To top off the basement decor, the floor is made of beer bottle caps. Overall, playful decor, in a nice pub atmosphere with standard brunch fair and wide selection of drinks. Willl come back to check out the dessert one day...looked good but too full today to get anything.

Highly recommend the fried chicken sandwich! We also had chicken little and wings, but my favourite was still the sandwich. We will be going back to check out the checkmate Caesar

Great service for the last of dine in. Graham is a fantastic manager and served us last night. All the staff has been kind and friendly over the past few years. The pineapple Sriracha chicken wings were delicious. I also thoroughly enjoyed the tequila and Corona special.

Their heated patio is nice and cozy! We were there last night for drinks and loved the crazy caesars and the spiked hot drinks. Server was super nice, fast and accommodating. Lots of heaters all around so we were comfortable despite the -18°C windchill weather lol.Thank you for staying open...there really aren't too many bars / restaurants in the city with heated outdoor patios that are actually warm. Not much to do during the pandemic so we love that we have something (good) to look forward to. Thanks!

A wide variety of Caesar’s and bar food selections. Good craft beer options as well. Definitely worth checking out!
