I love sushi and their food is pretty good!:) Service and vibes here is great as well??
Sushi Rolls here are insanely good. So flavourful. We were obsessed & could eat this everyday. Warm Sake was yum too.Ambiance is great. Service is great & helpful. They don’t take day of reservations. We went around 9:30 on a Friday and there were mostly all the seats filled.
Decent sushi, slow service. I think we waited a good 45 min for our food to come out, and the table beside us waited an hour. I wouldn't suggest coming here if you're hungry and don't want to wait too long. Their sushi was decent however, and nicely presented.
We had sample sushi and noodles with meat. The noodles were tasty, the meat was marinated in kind of soy sauce and very yummy. The sushi was also fresh. The non alcoholic mojito was a nice one also.
Good food and friendly service. We got the Korean fried chicken (3.5/5), sashimi plate (4/5), and the makis (4.5/5). Next time i would just get the makis and try their specialty rolls.
My favorite sushi in toronto. Worried that the servings are experiencing “shrinkflation” though. Hope that trend reverses but I understand.
The service, atmosphere, and taste are very good! Highly recommend going here if you are craving some good sushi! Will likely be my go to place whenever I’m around the area. The chicken karaage is a must. It’s order by plate which allows customers to not waste food. The prices are reasonable for a Toronto restaurant.
Fast and friendly service. Food and drinks were tasty. Their sashimi was very fresh. I also highly recommend their aburi sushi, creamy croquette, and sweet&spicy cauliflower.Their beef aburi sushi was a bit tough, but their regular aburi was absolutely delicious. I would skip their soft shell crab appetizer, I found it too heavy on the panko which overpowered the taste of the crab. They also have deals on alcohol for each day of the week, I went on a Sunday and it was 15%off cold sake!Overall I would comeback, mostly for their drink deals, delicious sashimi and aburi sushi!
My partner and I were craving sushi and have walked past this place before many times but never tried! This afternoon we did and we do not regret it!!We shared the seaweed salad and 4 rolls - spicy california roll, snow white roll, salmon pressed sushi and lobster truffle futomaki. The rolls are a large size, great tasting and fresh! Prices are decent but well worth it. We were quite full afterwards!! Service was quick and polite..with a more elevated atmosphere. We didn't get to try their drinks but saw some beautiful cocktails being made..so will have to come back and try next time!!If you are looking for quality sushi, this place will have you sold. I can't wait to be back for more!
Saku has really delicious sushi options. Dined in on a Sunday and was quickly seated. They had a featured menu for lunch so we ordered aburi sushi and maki rolls. Really enjoyed their pressed beef sushi, lobster roll, and aburi sampler. It was tasty, well balanced and fresh. We didn't like the Okinawa roll as much - saucy and peppery; seemed heavier than we would have like, then again, it is deep fried. Would love to see them expand their menu and to try more delicious sushi there! As some other reviews have noted, the plates seem to take a little longer to arrive at the table. Be patient and the food is worth the wait!
