I took my father to nearly every steakhouse in Toronto this month and he enjoyed your place the most. He liked it even more than Hy's, which he liked as well. I want to thank the manager Brian and the server Lydia for making this such a great night for my dad. You have our stamp of approval as the best steak in town.
Where to start. Server (Mike) was loud and overbearing. Aggressive and offputting. My wife and I actually laughed about it afterward it was so bad. Caesar salad tasted like it was in the fridge for an hour. Rib eye steak was mediocre at best. Filet was good. Mashed potatoes was mush in a bowl. Prices - a single baked potato side was $20! Do the math on the rest of the menu pricing. $300+ bill for 2 for prix fixe with NO alcohol. Seriously? I know that Ruthâs Chris is not high end - was not expecting anything great - but this experience was substandard in every way.

I had a ribeye with creamy spinach dish. I could not decide between salad or spinach so I ask the waitress. At her recommendation I ordered creamy spinach as its there signature dish. Excellente
I have no idea why it took my family and I so long to visit Ruth Chris Downtown Torontoâ¦â¦.but better late than never as this was one of if not the best dining experience we ever hadâ¦â¦â¦My husband said that you knew the experience was going to be great, when you started thinking about how much you were going to tip the server after only having a glass of water. Delicious cocktails, steak, potatoes, vino and dessert! Michael is an outstanding server/waiter/entertainer. Weâll be back every time when downtown. Cheers.
