This restaurant is is a gem. The staff is attentive, helpful and seem focused on giving a great experience. The oyster platters are wonderful.

Rodney's is my favorite place in Toronto. They have the freshiest seafood i've ever seen. The staff are kind, attentive and fun. If you love seafood, don't miss this place. Just Go!!!

Wonderful atmosphere, good food though chowder not my fav. Loved the lobster roll, and oysters. Hard to beat this one for shellfish. And service!

The food was spectacular, the atmosphere is great, and it was a very enjoyable evening. Clay was our waiter and his knowledge and passion for what he does was infectious. Couldn’t have been a better experience. If you love fresh Oysters, clams and mussels you have to go to Rodney’s

Cute restaurant !! Great service ! Worst oysters I’ve had, they tasted like old ocean water. Smoked salmon tasted like frozen salmon and came with 3 dried up bits of pumpernickel! Do not order! On a positive positive note the scallops were very delicious, cooked perfectly on a bed of yummy spinach and veggies.

First time here with my best friend. As soon as we entered, the hostess was very welcoming, checked on our table (we made reservations), and then seated us. We were both excited since we had never been to an oyster bar/restaurant. Jimmy came to our table and was very kind and helpful as we had no clue what oysters to order. He arranged a little mixed plate of six to start. They were amazing and so fresh! We loved them all and ordered another plate. We also couldn't choose from the menu on the mains as everything looked good. We went with the Sea Fry and the Nice Fundy Scallops. The chocolate mousse was so yummy and decadent (sorry, didn't get a pic because we finished it so fast). The food was fantastic! Service for the rest of the night was great! We also purchased Rodney's Seawitch sauce after trying it on the oysters. This was one of the best food experiences we've had in Toronto and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend to all, especially lovers of oysters and seafood!

Come for the Oysters!! Duh it’s in the name. Had a great meal at Rodney’s. Oysters were so fresh and they had such a wide variety - it was nice to try something we have never had before. Our server made some great recommendations based off our previous preferences, likes and dislikes. Tuna tartar was fantastic, recommended ordering that on your next visit. Now the reason this review is only a 4/5 stars - as a party of 8 we were subject to 18% auto gratuity which we were unaware of, which resulted in us tipping our server a 38% tip on all four of our bills. We only noticed the next day on the fine print of the bill. Our mistake but after a few cocktail who’s reading the fine print anyways. This will not deter us from coming back, now we just know for next time.Favourite new oyster - the Kumamoto from Japan, tiny but packed with tons of flavour. Recommend ordering on your next outing to Rodney’s!

We had lunch in the back patio. There are trucks and vehicles delivering back there. We had the fish and chips and mussels. The fish was a haddock, nice and flaky fish. The fries were the nice skinny fries, really tasty. The mussels were excellent, cooked in a garlic broth.

Amazing place! No wonder it was ranked as the top spot for seafood in Toronto! The variety and freshness of the oysters are uncomparable to anything I've had in Toronto! The lobster was just too good! And the special pan seared halibut with grilled octopus is as fine as it can get! The sauce for the dish was nothing short of spectacular! And don't even think of missing the Chocolate mousse!! Overall would definitely come back again!! The staff were brilliant!!

Rodney's was very average. We sat on the patio, which is a lovely outdoor space; however, the food was neither bad nor exceptional. Suffice to say, there must be better options for seafood. Server didn't quite deliver. All plates were brought to the table at the same time. This made the table very crowded and obviously certain dishes cooled while we worked on our appetizers. I think it is reasonable to expect appetizers to arrive before the mains. Also had to request that empty dishes be cleared. The oysters weren't shucked properly and had some dirt sediments floating about. Aside from that can't really complain but nothing to rave about either.
