Came in for the first time in years only to see they’re now cash only so I left. I have a credit and debit card I can easily tap but I will NOT support businesses who discriminate against cash and I do NOT support a cashless society, especially after we saw the government unilaterally and without any oversight freeze bank accounts just a few months ago. Disgusting for a business to exclude less fortunate customers who, for whatever reason, do not have a card. Just as well too, because they have obliterated their portion sizes while drastically increasing prices. Shame on you.
Great spot for 'The OG' Fried Chicken sandwich. Made to order, served hot and was actually on point for flavour and portion. A little heavy on the sauce and Frank's red hot.Fries were obviously from frozen, a total afterthought. No seasoning; cafeteria / McCain level. Honestly, a total joke. Will definitely not get fries here again, but the sandwich was delicious.
This place has some great recipes and makes some killer sandwiches but there portions seem to be getting smaller and the prices are climbing which is why they lose a star. Other than that the food is good and the Porchetta is on point ??
Best sandwich with crispy pork skin truly worth driving to. Very high quality and consistent glad I don't live near it would put on weight daily. I hear the other stuff is great too first tried porchetta at an Italian stag left an impression. Roasted suckling pig so moist and tender. Five stars buy two one might make it home if you are strong willed. If you can't afford Wurst this is plan B.
BEST place in the city for Fried Chicken Sandwich. I drove all the way from North York for this.I ordered the OG Fried Chicken sandwich, easily a 10/10. They always get it perfect every single time. It’s a big sandwich too, so for the price you get it at its super reasonable. If you haven’t checked it out, do so.Also the workers are always so pleasant. Very clean facility and wait time is usually around 10 minutes or so.Enjoy :)
I got the fried chicken combo… beast size servings, the biscuit was flaky and tasty, and the nashville hot brings the heat. I tried to be healthy with a side of rapini but next time I would probably stick to the coleslaw.
My OG fried chicken came on a potato bun and not the amazing sourdough bun! It doesn’t taste the same ?
This place used to have the best chicken sandwiches (the one on Dundas). Their prices have really gone up - a sandwich is 13 bucks and with tax it comes to 15 - and then I'm sure they expect a tip on top of all of that. One would expect the quality to stay the same at the very least. But the last time I went, the bun on my sandwich was untoasted - and this really ruined the sandwich. The bread was just wet and heavy and did not go well with the chicken. It was gross. Very disappointed. And mad that I paid so much.
I had the Fried Chicken Parmesan sandwich. From the moment I touched the sandwich, I was in love. The texture of the bun was crispy and yielding. And then the first bite, thrilling. The flavour of the chicken, the tomato sauce, the parmesan cheese, and the garlic bread bun was harmonious. The texture of the crunch of the fried chicken, some of the best in the city. If you like both fried chicken sandwiches and chicken parm, you should definitely try this sandwich.
I expected more for what I payed. It was $20 for there special and a cookie. Made me Appreciate subway more...
