This is the best Thai in Toronto, the chef has excellent interpretation of Thai food and she is from Thailand and owns the place too. We had Thai tea ,mango with sticky rice were so different than what we usually get in Toronto. It was simply amazing . street padthai, chicken satay, chicken spring rolls , chicken basin rice were excellent too. It's complete value for money and very reasonably priced too. The staff is so warm and friendly. I will be going to this restaurant whenever I have Thai food craving ?.
Pii Nong hands down is my favourite restaurant for authentic and delicious Thai food! The dishes were seasoned so perfectly and the ambience was perfect! I loved the flavours and can't wait to return to try their many other dishes! Tip: definitely get the bear set thai iced tea!! So refreshing and yummy and the bear is ADORABLE!
Me and my boyfriend had a great experience! They have menu with pictures which was really helpful! I had Thai Chicken wonton noodle soup and it was amazing, it was light and tasty. My bf got pineapple fried rice and it wasn’t too oily or sweet. We loved it! Will come back again!
Best Thai place in town!! I’ve had the best tom yum soup so far! Recommend the Thai style rack of lamb, ribs, pad kee mao, calamari. Thai ice tea is a must order!
Delicious food and nice vibes
I am quite selective about eating Thai food because of my allergy to nuts. However, I came here under the strong recommendation of my friends and Pii Nong Thai was extremely accommodating with my allergy.Everything that I tried exceeded my expectations but here are my highlights:- Their Thai milk tea was some of the most fragrant one I've ever had and as a bonus, served with a teddy bear! It was not overly sweet like ones I've had at other restaurants.- The grabong is a must try - fried to perfection and not left feeling oily or greasy.- The rack of lamb was juicy, tender, and surprisingly not gamy at all.- The soft shell crab was probably my absolute favourite of the night as it was perfectly paired with a yellow curry sauce.- The most unique dish to me was the pandan leaf chicken in terms of presentation (see photo).- The seafood tom yum hot pot was served in a traditional pot, extremely flavourful, and filled with plenty of seafood - definitely the best tom yum soup I've ever had.- Had to of course try their chicken pad Thai and it did not disappoint. It was delicious and had very authentic flavours.- Would highly recommend ending your meal with their mango sticky rice (each colour was a different flavour)! My only regret was not taking more photos but I will definitely be coming back!
Update: 2nd time here. Food still delicious and service is good. The pork neck dish that's on special is actually good. Ordered mainly the same dishes as last time. Will be back if in the area.Amazing service, food was delicious, interior is unique and shows the culture. The wings is very crispy and nice seasoning; mango sticky rice comes with 4 different flavors and two sauce; tom yum soup has a lot of seafood in it, great portion but could use more spice and more sourness; the thai milk tea friends said it was good, since is bear shape ice its great for social media; plum with lemon drink is refreshing; soft shell crab is delicious, especially the sauce; pineapple fried rice is good portion but could use more flavor; the thai noodle soup was the best, love it.
Went to this place because of Instagram and the food was very instagrammable. The gold star was the massaman coconut curry (beef), absolutely addictive. So rich, flavorful and the beef was tender. The mango sticky rice was smaller than expected but visually stunning and tasted great. The Thai grilled striploin steak, however, was the most disappointing one. Steak was so chewy and plain, and the sticky rice beside was really dry that I could barely finish, only the sauce saved the whole dish. Overall everything was still nice but just the steak didn’t suit my taste.
My hubby and I chanced by this Thai restaurant and decided to try it. Glad we did.We ordered two starters, two mains, and a side of steamed rice. The Crispy Chicken Wings, Yum Woon Sen Salad were so good! The salad was especially delicious with springy, QQ noodles. For mains, the Chilli Cashew Chicken, and Pad Thai with Shrimp were yummy too.We thought that every dish was delicious although the spice level is on the mild side compared to authentic Thai. The seasoning was on point and we felt it was okay to not have spicy Thai food all the time.Only slight down is that service is a bit spotty (e.g. mains came before starters, forgot steamed rice). But I think that was because the restaurant was very busy. And the server did try to rectify the error as soon as we informed her about the missing rice. All in all, a great Thai spot!
Came here as per a good friend’s recommendation and was not disappointed in the slightest!Tried a variety of their “signature dishes” such as the lamb chop and clams and was very impressed with the depth of flavour with each bite.To top it all off the Thai Milk tea here is a MUST try. Beats tea shops out there with its authentic taste.10/10 would recommend whenever I am in the area without question.
