Probably the worst experience we had at a chain restaurant since the Covid-19 pandemic started. I guess we were lucky the first four times at this location. The worst experience was today on the 5th visit, we will never spend our $$$ here again.We called in an order ( to save the owners on delivery app fees) We were told 10 mins. wait, max. So I told the clerk I'd be there in about 15 mins...drove 20 mins to get there, only to find that my order was not prepared. I understood that there was only one worker so I was prepared to wait for my food all over again but when I asked him to shift his mask from his chin to his face, he shrugged. He was wearing gloves for no reason because the cross contamination was shocking! People will get sick from eating here, guaranteed. Way to go, never again and I will make sure to tell everyone I know to avoid this spot at the stockyards.We understand the strain on employees via covid19 however, zero excuses for this type of service.The 5 star ratings are extremely suspicious...
This is a franchise offering Philadelphia style steak as it's main feature... As for me I was more interested in their burger selection.I would rate this burger three out of five stars. The bun was slightly toasted but not buttered, I went for a single body cheeseburger with three different types of which they made a mistake on one of my cheeses. I asked for cheddar cheese swiss cheese and peppercorn Jack but they gave me provolone instead of the peppercorn cheese. The meat Patty was lacking flavor and was slightly soft and mushy as butt cooked all the way through. But I would have liked to see is a nice crust on the burger with some nice seasonings to bring out the flavor. This had none of that.They do offer about 10 different types of sauces similar to what you would see at a submarine sandwich place. I asked the staff what type of bun they offer, but they didn't know they just simply said it's white. They sent me back $13.Would I recommend this place?I think I'll keep my answer civilized and say this just wasn't for me..This is located in that plaza near keel and St Clair. There's also plenty of other things to do in the plaza and there's lots of free covered parking.
The last time I remember portion sizes like this was when I was feeding my 3 year old toddler a lunch snack. This size Philly Cheese steak sandwich for $14.00 is beyond highway robbery. I gave 2 stars because the flavour was good but people want to see LARGE portions for their hard-earned money. I would need 12 of these to feel full. Is this a bad dream or some kind of sick joke ??? I always give every food place a “first impression” just like going on a date. My first impression will be my last impression with this place. $40.00 for two (2) super-mini sandwiches and two very small poutines. I am a foodie at heart and have tried food from every culture and every walk of life. There are literally hundreds of choices that I would rather go with for half the cost…like a Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwich. I could have purchased ten, yes TEN!, Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwiches for the same price and had sandwiches for days. Will not be ordering from this place ever again. This first time will be the last time, I wish them the best of luck !!
First time guest at Philty's and I like that they cook your food from scratch. Ask for their best seller if you're not sure what to get especially if it's your first time going there, because believe me, the overwhelming selection of food items that they have might scare you away.They've got a plethora of condiments ready for you to add to your food as well. As if the menu items wasn't already enough to overwhelm unsuspecting new customers like myself.I just wish the meat would've been more tender( beef patty wasn't juicy and a bit bland. Bacons they used on my wife's burger and the poutine was not freshly cooked) and I would give the food 5/5, it's just a shame because the service was phenomenal, but I'm afraid it won't sugarcoat it.I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the washroom as well, seemed like they forgot to clean up after rush. Would definitely give it another go to try some more of their sandwiches though.

I had not really heard of this place before, but a friend recommended it so I went by and picked us up some poutine and onion rings - and wow - am I ever glad that I did!! This particular Philthy Philly's is located in the Stockyards Shopping Complex and is really easy to find. They have a huge assortment of poutines with all kinds of toppings as well as cheesesteak sandwiches, burgers, chicken, pulled pork and even a handful of dessert items. I ordered the Original Poutine (Philthy Size - $12.49) for myself and a medium original poutine ($8.49) for my friend - and we split an order of medium onion rings ($7.49). It took about 15 minutes to receive my food and I could not get over the huge portions!! That must've been 5 lbs of poutine!! And it tasted great too - really good fries, smothered in cheese curds with a great tasting gravy!! The onion rings were really tasty as well and they gave me a very generous portion of hot sauce and BBQ sauce on the side. I will definitely be returning to try out some of their other poutines in the future - you should too! Highly Recommended!!!
Didn't get much cheese if any on my Philly cheesesteak. Service was fine. It's a bit pricy for what you get and was expecting more.
Portions are kinda huge. But also costs a lot. Basically 20$ for the sandwich. $14 for the large poutine. Best value was the JR burger. ~$3 and was bigger than a Big Mac combo With a med poutine was 14$ and good mix. Writing this the day of eating. Hope I don’t have stomach issues.
Must try poutinerie and equally good burgers and deserts ! Owner is really friendly and personally take care that each order is fulfilled on time.
The food is always fresh, hot & delicious! The staff here are very friendly, good people, great food!
