Strong 4 here. I’ve been here many times and the food does not disappoint. Only knocked a point as I wish there were more vegetarian options. Overall the service is great, quality of food is awesome, and ambience is nice. Here in the picture is the avocado eggs Benny. I will say that the hollandaise sauce here is the best I’ve had. Also would recommend the madeleines.
The Peter Pan Bistro is a delicious and lovely place to eat. The interior is filled with these lovely carpet-covered animal heads which give the place a unique style.I had the burger which was great and my mom had the salmon which was next level. Delicious and tasted fresh. The prices are a bit high, but arguably worth it for the great taste and location. Definitely more of a fine dining experience.
It was ok but the experience felt "expensive" without really any of the niceties that would offset the price. The eggs Benny was well plated but the flavour was very much just one note (salty). The greens on the plate were very tasty and stole the show from what was supposed to be main event. The staff were ok but i had to wait quite some time before they brought a menu and then even longer before taking my coffee order. The staff were present but not courteous to the level that one would expect for the price point based on the experience of the food.
Our family of four enjoyed a Mother’s Day brunch at the Bistro and were very pleased from start to finish. Great service, wonderful table in the window, tempting menu choices, delicious food, and warm ambiance. We will return.
Just had dinner there and a bottle of wine with my husband yesterday. The meals were good! However I always care about a really good service and they delivered impeccable customer care! We had ordered a chocolate souffle that was unfortunately undercooked but upon our remark, they didn't hesitate to offer us a brand new chocolate soufflé and a coffee on them, free of charge due to their kitchen mistake! If you like smaller restaurant with a more low-key comfort vibe this is a good place to try!
It was super packed when we got in around 11 on a Sunday. Luckily we got a table without having to wait (for 5 people). I got the shakshuka and it was delicious and surprisingly filling even though it didn't look like a lot, but people with larger appetites may find the dishes underwhelming. I liked the "breakfast potato" bc it was like a hash brown/rosti and super crispy. I didn't like the toast that came with the shakshuka. The crust was super hard and difficult to tear, and it didn't soak up the sauce but just pushed it around. A different type of bread would've been better, and the 3 slices they provided wasn't enough; an extra slice would've been perfect. It is definitely pricey for what you get and the ambience is extremely noisy, at least on a weekend morning, but overall a good experience.
A Toronto classic in the heart of Queen West for decades. Gourmet menu with unique dishes (such as the vegan main and mushroom cream brûlée appetizer), traditional favourites and some with a twist (mussels, veal and salmon) Reasonable prices in a lovely atmosphere with superb service. A great spot for dates, catch up with with friends or for any occasion.
This place is great for a date night!Nice cozy romantic vibe. Have also seen people come here with friends for drinks.Menu is simplistic but still diverse. I will warn that it is a bit on the pricey side imo. I ordered a drink and a dish and I spent over $60 for just myself (after tax and tips). The food was delicious and I got a “surprise” drink. Our waitress was very friendly as well and overall I had a great experience.
I love this cute corner restaurant/bar on Queen in the shopping district — I’ve been here at night for drinks, and during the day for an early dinner, and both experiences were lovely. The restaurant is gorgeous and has a vintage European vibe. The food is French-inspired and high quality! The staff is pretty friendly too. Overall, I highly recommend this place for a date, a casual hangout, brunch or dinner!
Nice spot for brunch, good quality food but definitely on the pricier side. The pan burger was fresh and tasted great. Portions are not huge but pretty good. They cook the burger medium (unless you want it cooked differently) which I don't see done in many places but the ground beef tasted high quality so it was fine. Service was friendly & pleasant.
