Went for the first time on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was fairly empty. We received a warm welcome from the waiter and he took down what we ordered. I had a pescado frito, and my husband got a beef rice dish. Had a potato appetizer. Everything was delicious, the warm bread at the beginning, the side salads, the actual meals. Everything! The waiter and waitresses usually left us alone during the meal and only came by to refill our water glasses and take away plates. We enjoyed the dinner a lot.
Good Peruvian food, very good service. Was an enjoyable dinner, and I will return
The waitress/ owner was super rude with my family. The worst costumer service
One of my favourite restaurants! Always a treat to eat here. The staff are so welcoming and kind. The food is so flavourful. Best ceviche! I love it !Highly recommend you eat here and bring all your friends :)ENJOY!
Food is good, service is horrible. When restaurant began good and service was excellent, but has build clientele so service has totally changed. There are better PERUVIAN RESTAURANTS NOW IN TORONTO, no need to waste my money and time.
Best Peruvian restaurant in Toronto. You won't go wrong!
We made our first visit to this resto and it won't be our last - the proprietor made us feel right at home and described in detail various dishes
NEVER COMING BACK!!! SERVICE IT’S THE WORST. I decided to go to this place with a friend ( he is from Switzerland) and we were very excited to going to this place because He visited peru long time ago and he wanted to try pisco sour again. when we arrived a guy, an old man with gray hair, greeted us at the door with a super rude attitude,I didn’t want to see it at that moment but when we ordered we only wanted to order just pisco sour because we already have eaten before, in spite of that we were open to probably order food later but at that moment we only wanted to order pisco sour and this guy with this haughty and rude attitude forced us to order food in order to stay, I was so ashamed for my friend and feel very uncomfortable because we wanted to spend a good time together that I didn’t want to make a big deal of it and try to understand that this guy (the server) was just only following rules, so we ordered food and AGAIN it wasn’t enough for him and he was forcing us to order more food, he said that if we were not ordering an entree plus main dishes we could go to another place. He was so rude, so inconsiderate that I’m never coming back to that place again and also I would tell all the people that I know to not go as well. That is not the way you should behave with your clients or people you are suppose to serve, specially if we were very nice and tried to understand and have the best attitude despite the treatment we had received. A moment that must have been pleasant turned stressful and embarrassing. So ashamed!
My husband and I left without eating after we were asked to not sit on the same side of the table and hold hands. We couldn’t hear each other over the loud music so we decided to sit together so we could talk. After having to get up for the 2nd time and walk to the bar to order (they never brought our drinks even though it was not busy at all) we were asked not to sit on the same side of the table as it was “not appropriate”. We both laughed in shock as we were just quietly sitting together and having a conversation. The owner was extremely rude and seemed to not want to serve us from the moment we came in… we waited patiently as he seemed to be in a terrible mood and tried to make the best of it by being very kind to him as well as ordering a lot of food. We were both so shocked after the exchange that we left without eating. We were having a lovely time with each other despite the terrible treatment and service so it was a shame. I’ve never heard of any establishment getting upset over a couple enjoying a night out in their restaurant. Luckily we were able to laugh it off but it was definitely uncomfortable and upsetting.
Another perfect dinner - always signed off by my wife who is from Lima! Owner operated, excellent Pisco Sours if that's your thing, perfect seafood dishes - excellent value! Sure you could pay double at a new trendy place for no better quality or variety, but if you realize that all the truly good things in life are fading away, closing down and disappearing then let's keep this place open! Save yourself a flight and get a taste of Peru right here in Toronto!
