I couldn’t believe that the manager here asked us to leave our table when my daughter was just crying a bit in a normal volume in roughly 10 seconds. For god’s sake, we are in the middle of our meal and he just came to ask us to change a table? We have been to a lot of restaurants here in dt Toronto, none are as kids-unfriendly as like them.If you have kids, don’t come here, they will be super mean to you and your kids.Remeber the name OPUS, a restaurant with hostility because of unknown reasons to kids.

Did not live up to the hype. Went for a BD celebration. Salads were fine. 2 of us ordered Fish. One was almost inedible. The fluke was bland and whatever it was on....couldn't eat it. The other was the Halibut which was just bland.Rack of lamb and Venison were fine...Service was truly mediocre at best. Worst part was at the end of the meal, one of the servers walked by and had clearly been out smoking a cigar...absolutely stunk and carried this through the restaurant. Not the best way to end a meal. For the price....would not recommend

Friendly staff, the Chef made every plate taste and look phenomenal. Mario is AMAZING he is THE wine master. Quality food as well as quality interactions between you and the staff (and even the tables next to me had great guests) makes you really feel appriciated for being there. Definitely 10/10 recommend.

First visit after a two year absence. We had a wonderful meal and outstanding evening. Food was excellent, butter noodles with white truffles, veal tenderloin and Iberian pork chop were highlights and cooked to perfection. Service was impeccable. Always enjoy trolling the superb wine list in search of a gem. 2004 Siro Pacenti Brunello definitely did not disappoint. Finish with Beignes and a fine scotch and it does not get better. The lively and friendly atmosphere among diners lifted the spirits. To summarize, outstanding evening.

The food is amazing at Opus. The menu changes daily. The staff makes you feel right at home. You can’t leave without trying the desserts.

Worse than a 1 star rating. Very negative, and materialistic energy. Enter at your own risk. We came here to enjoy a lovely dinner, at a spot we never noticed just down the street from home. The food was way too salty, and inedible. It was eaten only because we were starving. After our oysters were served, we never heard once the server ask us how we are, even though the restaurant was not close to busy. Do NOT come to this restaurant if you want your service to be based on the way you look! I'm sure if we wore something flashy we would've been attended to, as that vibe is clear!!!. We were the youngest in the restaurant, (23 and 26) dressed appropriately for the setting, but we were treated very poorly. Infact, I don't think in all my life I've had such a horrible experience at fine dining. Also, it was very noticeable that once we expressed we are sober, and do not drink wine - there was a loss of interest for our table. This was displayed very clearly, since the other tables who were just sitting drinking wine, no food, were checked up on frequently. No wonder this place has the lowest reviews in the yorkville area, or that they actually have the least amount of reviews for being there for 30 years. Must be deleting negative comments. Lost a really good future customer due to such a horrible service inedible food not even worth a quarter of the price. The only good thing was the apples under my foie gras.P.s my Tim Hortons turkey & bacon sandwich after dinner was more appetizing than any dish that was served at this restaurant, which is unfortunate because we were really excited looking at the menu online the night before. Which must be mentioned, different from online! I hope stating how Tim Hortons service and food is better than Opus, can show the disappointment. You'd be better off going to Scaramouche. They have it amazing there!

This restaurant delivers exactly what you would expect from an overpriced Yorkville spot. I had heard so many good things about it and was looking forward to dinner however the execution of the food coupled with the inattentive service were not acceptable especially when considering the cost of the food. For an appetizer, I had the burrata. It was OK but not great. Should generally be runnier and not as icebox cold as it was served. Was served with the most miserly quantity of tomatoes (4 slices total) and could likely have benefitted from a better quality and more robust olive oil to bring out the flavours. Passable but not worth $29. We also ordered crispy brussels sprouts as an appetizer. There was nothing memorable about them. They were very meh. $14.00 Main course was halibut with lentils and white asparagus. The halibut was overcooked and bland. The lentils were not enjoyable and the whole thing was served with some sauce that did not complement the dish - it tasted like barbecue sauce and was not appetizing. I took about 2 bites of it and left the rest. The waiter did not come to ask how we were enjoying our food nor did he ask why the food was left essentially untouched. I explained my dissatisfaction with the dish and it was removed from the bill. The cost of the entree in question was $50.00. My dinner companion had the gnocchi with king crab. Also $50.00. The dish was extremely salty and there was a piece of shell in the pasta dish. Overall, the quality of the food and service is not in keeping with a "fine dining" restaurant that this purports to be. The wine list is excellent and extensive although also eye-wateringly expensive. Overall I would not recommend and do not intend to go back.

Charming, comfortable and the most delicious food. No detail is overlooked, and even the most common foods taste special here. Of course a great neighborhood as well; great for a stroll before or after dinner.

The food was so so, service was not great. Menu was completely different from the one advertised online as well as the prices. Too expensive and not worth it at all.
