When we lived south of Bloor Street, which made it to Okonomi House several times a year for dependable Japanese and Asian food. This was the first time back in years, and we really should go more often. Tasty food at excellent prices: how can you go wrong? I particularly liked my seafood teriyaki.

Okonomi House is a true staple in the community, serving savoury Japanese pancakes typically made with cabbage/mixed vegetables with your choice of protein, with a generous spread of their savoury okonomiyaki sauce. They serve some other main dishes like teriyaki, curry, yakisoba.I got the bacon okonomiyaki most recently. Always add the bonito flakes and nori for an extra 50 cents. The pancake has a bunch of sweet and tender vegetables and is cooked perfectly to get a slight crust. Their okonomiyaki sauce is lovely—it's savoury, has a bit of fruity sweetness and that tangy Worcestershire flavour.Prices are super affordable and service is friendly.

Had a solo lunch here and the pork okonomiyaki was very good! The pancake wasn't too soggy and easy to eat with chopsticks. Staff was friendly and got me my food very quickly, which was ideal for a work lunch. Don't skip on the bonito, it's part of the experience.

First try on okonomiyaki but was really impressed by the taste. We had pork and seafood (okay, no difference from the photo attached cuz both were covered by sauce). Very special flavor and delicious! I have always tried to avoid flour made food but cannot resist this one. Definitely a good try and will come again.

The service and the food was great, its was pretty cheap to boot. The decorations in the restaurant are really nice. The restaurant itself is a bit small, not the best for bigger groups.

The okonomiyaki taste great, just a bit salty with the sauce. But it has a very authentic Japanese flavor! The design of the restaurant is cute with original Japanese features that are rarely found in Toronto. We got Pork and Squid okonomiyaki, both taste good. The service is perfect. Definitely worth trying.

Relatively decent prices for the portion of food. Nothing fancy here, but food is good! The deluxe seafood pancake is of course pricier but delicious with a good amount of seafood in it. Definitely get the Bonito flakes as add-on (extra cost) to your pancake.

Walking into the Okonomi house is like walking into a slice of Japan. First and foremost the okonomiyaki was delicious! We had the beef and shrimp. The flavours were savoury and complemented eachother the brown teriyaki like sauce plus the mayo really went well together. The okonomiyaki was cooked perfectly as well. Also ordered the beef teriyaki. Very premium. Great quality meat, cooked medium rare just the way I like it. The teriyaki sauce was also extremely flavourful.Overall awesome experience. Will come again.

It was my first time that I tried Japanese pancake and it was really amazing. We ordered the chicken Okonami-Yaki goes so delicious with bonito flakes (dried bonito fish) and dried sea weed powder. You add both as topping on your pancake and enjoy your authentic Japanese dish. We also ordered Yakisoba includes noodle, beef, chicken and chopped vegetables. The custard pudding was our choice for dessert. It has been a long time that I hadn't ate pudding, so it was a feel-good for me to eat after a while. Although it was less sweety (my favorite style), I highly recommend to order it after your main dish. Staff were nice and attentive.

Get the steak. So good and perfectly cooked. Not chewy, super tender. Best okonomiyaki i’ve ever had. Get the flakes. Worth it. Beef one is great.
