Could not be more impressed with this place, honestly. On a Saturday morning when EVERYWHERE else had a waitlist, O’Somae got us a table for two right away- no wait at all ? We were served quickly and the food… holy MOLY it was amazing, and reasonably priced! For two amazing meals and an iced tea was about $55 plus tip. The avocado toast is literally amazing, and the salad that comes with is to die for!The only constructive feedback we have for the restaurant is that the serving of eggs in the farmer’s breakfast was a bit small. But everything was beautiful and I would absolutely recommend this place ♥️♥️♥️
Love this little cute brunch spot. Waited 10 mins for getting a table on a busy Sunday which is not bad. I ordered the Truffle Mac n cheese, and my friend got the Salmon benny. I m literally a truffle person and this was currently the best mac n cheese i have ever had in my life, love the variety of mushrooms. Will def come back to try their Chicken n waffles!
Really really delicious chicken and waffles!! The chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy on the inside. The waffle was also really good - soft and fluffy, with perfect amount of sweetness to go with the chicken. Everything on the plate went really well together and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved the dish!
Its such a perfect place for brunch! Everything exceeds expectations, the eggs are super soft and yolk was nice and runny just like i asked for. The little cute latte art made my day:)Preordered 10 of the oso hot sauces two days before hand for my family and friends as gifts since they love it so much.
Food was good, generous portions. Fries were so good! It was a busy long weekend and with the lack of staff, even that, the wait staff did her best. Overall positive experience!
The fried chicken was so well seasoned and tasty! And the salmon Benny was amazing, definitely recommend. The staff were nice, though they had their hands full during brunch time. Prepare to wait for 30 mins+ during brunch times!
Duck confit poutine was unique and creative and gushing with different flavours with every bite. The caramelized Korean pear in it took it to another level!Smoothies were pure delight.Chicken waffles are everything you could ever want.10/10
I came to O'Somae about a month ago accidentally as another brunch place nearby had a super long wait, but I'm so thankful I did. It exceeded my expectations.The green tea latte was perfect and balanced with matcha and not overly sweet (I asked for half sweet). I ordered the duck burger and when I received it, the serving side was bigger than expected.At first, I saw the duck with bone in and thought it'd be complicated to eat. I picked it up and the bone came right out surprisingly. So I ate it like a normal burger without having to deconstruct it. The meat was perfectly cooked and so juicy. The bread was really soft and fresh too.Service was excellent and quick. They offered suggestions and didn't rush my friend and I when deciding on our order and when we stayed to talk a bit after eating (since it was a quieter weekday). They opened not too long ago, so try it out when indoor dining reopens before word gets out.
I had the chicken and waffles, and a coffee. Everything tasted great, huge portions and great value, and the servers were super friendly and attentive. 100% will go again and will recommend to friends.
From the brunch boxes, I’ve seen all through IG, had to dine in here when I got the chance!And with that dine in possibility, just had to make it an all duck brunch affair! Duck eggs benny and duck confit with waffles!The duck was tender and with the waffles, it was such a nice combination alongside the maple syrup drizzled on!Duck eggs benny were ordered by my friend, but how can you comfort wrong with poultry and runny yolk!Service was on point and the waitress was really awesome! Even offered to remake my latte as she saw me snapping pics for my google reviews and IG! Ofc i declined as I didn’t wanna waste what was already made! At the end of the day, it’s all about the flavour and food and drink we’re spot on!Great job overall!
