I really like my time here with one of my new boss. He likes Indian food so I kept my trust in this place and came here for lunch. There was just one chef who tried his best to serve us and he did.The interiors have small colourful benches and some sofa seats that aren’t very comfortable but decent.Their menu is good, has halal options to try, with medium spicy food with roti.I had paper dosa with extra ghee to make it more tasty and it was amazing in crispiness, the chutney wasn’t really South Indian style.Their quantity is great, and they have a good lighting available. You can definitely try this place, the washroom wasn’t really clean or decent .Must try their mango lassi. Also you can try their menu that has to do with roti as it’s their specialty.
My Roti Place on King St W makes great roti and desserts. They had a reopening on 2022-04-14 because that location has a new franchise owner. With the Butter Chicken Roti ($13.99), the chicken was very tender and juicy and the butter sauce was tasty. I also got to try the Paneer Butter Roti ($13.99) which was also good. For dessert, they have the traditional Gulab Jamun ($3.99) and Mango Pistachio Cheesecake ($5.99). Very refreshing. The cheesecake was smooth and creamy. The staff are courteous and very helpful. There are several tables for indoor dining. There is patio space for outdoor dining during warm weather. The restaurant also has My Dosa Place, also owner by the same owner. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There are two gender-neutral washrooms, one of which is wheelchair accessible. There is paid street parking.Review 2022-050If you like my review, please give my review a thumbs up and click on my profile pic (at the top, on a mobile/cell phone), and click on "Follow"). Having had not the best experiences with Indian food in Toronto, this place by far is the best Dosa place you can find. Newly undertaken by two passionate partners, menu is certainly tempting.I had to have the most basic form Dosa to begin with and it was as good as you'd find in India so definitely visiting again and encourage people to check it out. Cheers ?
These guys are amazing.I’m new to Indian food and got the butter chicken by advice. Absolutely delicious.Service is fast, place is clean and has great vibe to it.Definitely coming back!
dossa was served cold too salty will not recommend and chutneys were cold and sambar too sweet not authentic at all
The food tasted amazing. I will gladly return for more!
I literally saw the sign today and went in to grab lunch. They just opened and from a food snob, i gotta say, AMAZING! We had the lamb vindaloo stupid hot roti and a mild butter chicken roti for my wife. It was just perfect! The right amount of heat not to drown out the flavorful indian spices. You can also make your own roti . The staff was very friendly and you cant beat the prices for portions!
The food was great and consistent but dissapointed by the change in packaging. For the first time I thought that someone has solved for dosa packaging ( cardboard box). I went in this evening to pick up my ritual order and I was handed a pizza box ( clearly cost cutting measure by the management). Finally, the gentleman was able to pack the dosa in a plastic box instead.
The Masala dosa was around 2 feet in diameter! A great takeout spot, there are seating for those who want to eat in. Dosa comes with spicy curry, a coconut chutny, tomato chutny and a sambar (spicy veg soup) to dip the dosa into. There are also stuffed roti options on the menu.
Fantastic food, had the paneer Korma roti. It was gorgeous, came with chips and a sweet dumpling to finnish. All for $15 which was fantastic.
