This is definitely one of the hidden gem on the west end. Small family like restaurant yet beautiful and yummy. The curry ramen is so good and unique, my fav. To top it we got raspberry mousse. The feel of the restaurant and environment made us feel like we're in japan. They sell freshly made shokupan as well.
Both indoor and outdoor seating! The service was very friendly and attentive, wonderfully done. The ramen was expensive for a relatively small portion. We got a $17 bowl with only 2 pieces of meat. However it was well made, fresh and the noodles were bouncy. Not extremely salty. I would say just note the price, but it’s definitely worth coming to enjoy on a sunny day. They also sell shokupan inside which looked great.
I came here for lunch on a Tuesday and ordered the Karaage and the Ajitama Musoshin Ramen. The karaage was delicious. It was crispy yet the meat itself remained juicy. The ramen broth was thick, rich, and not overly salty. The ramen noodles have a good bounce and chew to them and suited the ramen broth perfectly.I would definitely come here again!
Small and cozy Ramen shop with refined menu offering all the classics.Overall good ramen, the broth is light and delicate. I typically enjoy a more rich tonkotsu broth but I wasn't dissapointed with this! Noodles and Toppings were fresh and delicious.Side dishes I tried were decent but a little disappointing, with the karaage having a bit too much fatty bits and the takoyaki either being overcooked or prepared in advance, missing its signature crispy outside and "battery" inside. They also offer a selection of desserts and baked goods - the milk bread was absolutely delicious.Food presentation shows there's a lot of care and passion being but into each dish, and its definitely a must try for any Ramen fan.
Musoshin is my favourite place for ramen and a great addition to the Roncesvalles Avenue neighbourhood. This evening I had the Musoshin Red which comes in a variety of heat levels. I chose medium but would probably ask go for a milder one next time. :=) the added Ochre was a curio but surprisingly perfect match.
This ramen joint just off Dundas Street West has both a front patio as well as indoor seating. Noodles are made in-house and have great chewy texture - thinner and not as wavy as other noodles, but with a great taste. The Ajitama Musoshin Ramen had a light but flavourful broth, with enough broth for the kaedama second round of noodles. In fact, if you eat ramen at home, you can buy their fresh ramen to take home! $2 for one serving, with 5 servings for $9.50. With vegan and gluten-free menu options to check out. A great addition to Toronto's ramen scene.
This is a nice tucked away spot with some really comforting ramen and well made desserts. You can tell that quality is definitely a priority for the staff working here.Seats are limited though (~12-16?) so I suspect it could be a bit of a wait if it gets busy. The mochi was really good =)
When Musoshin opened during the pandemic, they were running almost entirely a takeout window and occasional summer patio space, and even though we couldn't eat indoors, it was always such a joy to eat here. Even with takeout, we were able to fully enjoy the meal! And now being able to eat indoors and experience the warm cozy ambience and great service, is even better!Their ramen is not like any other in the city... Their broth is complex, noodles are freshly made in house, and toppings are a bit unique as well. They also offer vegan and vegetarian options, as well as non-ramen dishes. And a wide array of delicious Japanese desserts, with seasonal ones that rotate in throughout the year.Highly recommend their Original Musoshin Ramen and their Karaage!Their space is small so if you plan to come with a group larger than 5, consider calling and making a reservation! We trek all the way here from King West and it's soooo worth it! We're loyal regular customers now, and for a reason ?
My new go-to for ramen. The soup broth is so rich and tasty. Chashu is perfectly cooked. Noodles are on point. I love how cozy it feels too! Definitely must go if you are in the area. Highly recommend.
A small and intimate space. I got the Ajitama Musoshin Ramen with extra Pork Chashu and Karaage. The broth wasn't as salty but a little sweet which was different. The noodles were thick and had a soft texture. I thought the portion size was a bit small for what I paid for, however, adding extra toppings only costs an extra $2. The Pork Chashu was pretty thick and a bit too fatty for my liking. Overall, it isn't too bad if you are looking to try a different ramen place.
