Had a really good drink here - Niwa Flores, but didn’t try the food
The space inside is really cool and makes for a great place to grab a drink. The cocktails were pretty decent and on par price wise for Toronto. The food was just okay, but that being said we only ordered one dish. The service was friendly but just a bit slow. I definitely would still come back to try a few more things on their menu though.
The atmosphere was lovely. Romantic and local vibe. Loved the place. Staff were pretty friendly. The cocktails were special. Wo ordered one of their special cocktails with bourbon and it was amazing.Love the place
Good cocktails. Not great. Service was good but they could never get our drink or good orders right the entire night. It was funny but we were also a happy drunk crowd. Might have ordered more if it took less time between ordering dribble and receiving them. Nice place for a date spot but would not recommend for large parties
Come here for cocktails & a cute photo op.Pros: Super friendly bartender, pretty & tasty drinks, cool tropical decorCons: Food was underwhelming and overpriced. The pork belly dish was not good. You can get better Asian food elsewhere for less money
Awesome experience!! The bartender Colton made us all drinks and they were INCREDIBLE. Also our server, Anna, was so warm and helpful. We’re definitely coming back soon!!
So delicious!! I used to live around the corner during the pandemic and this restaurant has been on my list forever. The food was unique and delicious, and the service was great - we had Anna as our waitress and she was bubbly and kind and checked in on us just the right amount. The drinks were FUN and delicious. You really can’t go wrong here!! The place was busy but not overwhelming, great music, and fun decor, all of which made Mother Tongue more than just delicious food, but an experience!!
Came here in February for a dinner- we were seated downstairs at a table near the bar. It was much darker downstairs vs the ground floor but the music was good, loud enough for a great vibe but quiet enough for conversation where we were. We ordered:BC Trout CevicheBistek TatakiHumba Pork BellyTorched Wagyu Chow MeinFavourites were all of them actually! Great flavours all around, especially the Ceviche and chared Pork Belly. I've always loved Asian flavored beef tataki dishes over Italian type carpaccios and this Bistek Tataki did not disappoint! Our server was good, very knowledgeable about the menu and offered food pairing recommendations
Amazing cocktails to begin with absolutly delicious food. The fried chicken fried rice was our favourite with the dumplings a close second. If you're in blue mountain you need to eat here. Jaye, our waitress made the experience, request her if you're going here.
The cocktails and appetizers were good. However, the service was extremely slow. And we enquired about the menu, the dish delivered was much more spicy than the waiter explained. Didn’t eat any of the dish. They said they discounted it…. Only $4 off a $26 dish that was uneaten. Do not recommend. Poor customer service.
