I came here with a few friends a couple of months ago and we all had a really great time! The oysters were so good we ended up ordering 2 or even 3 rounds, the cocktails came in these boujee looking goblets which were really cool, our server was super attentive and food/drinks came out quickly and lastly the music they had playing the whole night was the absolute BEST!! They were playing new and old hiphop, rnb and some house! We stayed until basically closing because the music, atmosphere and food were awesome

Such a nice environment. Great drinks, music and the cookie dough dessert was a delicious shareable item. Perfect location to start of your night, or regroup after a long day at work.

This place is a popular spot for drinks so be sure to book a reservation beforehand or get their early and put your name down on the wait list!Cocktails here are delicious and are comparatively priced to other spots downtown. Food is also tasty too, although I would have appreciated if they put some chilli peppers next to any dishes that are spicy.Their bathroom is linked with Piccolo below them so it can get a bit crowded. Also there aren’t signs (or at least from what I could see) that indicate which bathroom was which. But once you walk into one and discover a urinal, you’ll know which one you’re in.

I'll start with really nice atmosphere. Candlelight tables, lots of seating, fun location.3 stars for pricing and this only relates to alcohol. We stopped by for just a late night drink. Two martini's, normal shelf alcohol nothing premium @ $18 each. This means for two very small martini's max 8 sips after tax and a modest tip $45. So two rounds in less then an hour borders on $100.Why can I get a beautiful plate of mussels there for $16 and a drink that can disappear in a few minutes $18 ?I'm sympathetic to rising rents, higher wages and increased food costs although alcohol hasn't risen much in this Pandemic and this establishment in no way is alone in higher prices but where is this going to end? We walked downtown Toronto @ 9 pm weekday and over half of the bars/restaurants are closed most because there isn't enough business to stay open but how are customers going to come back @ $100 for two drinks per couple? We have to cut back our visits to Melrose's and others the like because we just can't justify the prices.

Super nice staff and the atmosphere has a nice vibe to it. The drinks were excellent but the food was okay. We only had the tartare because they ran out of oysters for the buck-a-shuck Sunday. The tartare had a bitter aftertaste so we asked our server to send it back in which they were very accommodating. But the second time, the tartare was smaller (which was understandable since we ate a quarter of the one prior) .. but the toast was so burnt but we didn't bother complaining anymore. Would still come back for the drinks though.

Went for the Happy Hour, stayed for the friendly staff and unique atmosphere. Jess greeted us with a warm and friendly smile and got us seats at the bar without a reservation. Thanks Jess. The bartenders, Naomi, Jake and Graham were extreme warm and not in the way that they were trying to up sell us. It was genuine. We were also lucky to meet Ashley the Manager. She topped off the experience by making us feel like we were part of their very tight knit family. They were crazy busy but still made time to interact and chat. Drinks were good, but then we ordered the charcuterie board, well, that just put it over the top. So good. Thanks to “Carleton” in the kitchen. ? go, you won’t be disappointed. ??

Made reservations for some after dinner drinks based on hearing that the environment was "relaxed" and "good vibe". Once we arrived the first thing you are hit with is how loud the music was and everyone around you having to speak over the loud music in order to have a conversation. I had to leave immediately as I didn't expect to have to compete with loud music and everyone else conversation. It is a lovely location, however, due to leaving immediately we were unable to try their drinks or sample to food. Hopefully they can address this in the future to find a balance for their patrons looking to have after hours drinks in a less music driven environment.

The atmosphere of Melrose is really cozy, although the service could have been a bit faster (maybe they were short staffed) but they were really sweet! The food - oh wow! Amazing quantity and quality - the seacutiere is a must try - mussels and prawns were just beautifully cooked! The drinks were also just amazing - had a lovely time and some amazing flavours in the cocktails!

Recently popped by before last call, and had some amazing cocktails! House cocktails are creative, but bartenders will whip up pretty much anything you like. Great service from all that evening! Can’t wait to try the winter cocktail menu!
