Food was okay service was not bad but felt rushed out. Overall I would visit again but not sure if it’s worth the money. I would definitely come back for the unique cocktails, dips, and atmosphere but beyond that I’m not sure if I was sold on the other appetizers or mains yet. I would definitely encourage anyone to give this place a try!

Really enjoyed the food here! Shared plates style and I would highly recommend the phyllo bread & the chicken plate!

Mamakas is a GREAT Greek restaurant to try in Toronto. The food and drinks were awesome, the ambience is really cool an cozy and service was nothing but Great! Definitely a place you MUST visit! Among the great dishes is worth mentioning the Shrimp, the lamb tartare and the tzatziki.but really, energy thing was awesome!

Great intimate atmosphere. Delicious food. Great service.

Wonderful service and very tasty food!We ordered the spanikopita for $18 and grilledLamb $54 and both were cooked and seasoned to perfection. We also got the carrot side dish $12 to complement the lamb. Absolutely delicious and we were very full by the end. I did feel that this is on the pricy side, but the ambience and service were spot on and it’s worth a nice night out.I will be thinking about the spanikopita for a while... ?If you go earlier in the evening, the restaurant will be less busy and has a better feel if you don’t like crowds.

This isn't the place for falafel or a gyro, it's for the more expensive aspects of Mediterranean food and that's their justification to overprice the menu.4 of us, 2 girls and 2 guys ate and had 2 drinks for 300 dollars. No dish particularly stood out, and the pita, lamb, octopus and bread were not charred, they were burned. We could have made all the dishes we tried better and cheaper at home. The service was good and the environment was cozy and candlelit. At the end of the day the quality of food is the only thing that will bring me back to a place and this one will be a one time visit.

I have nothing to complain about ;)Amazing service, amazing food!Good music in the background (so good that I had to Shazam a few songs).Bass fish was delicious! I wasn’t even that hungry but I ate it all…I really enjoyed my time at Mamakas Taverna

Busy place downtown with a good menu and wonderful service. The food was good but nothing stood out as great. All properly seasoned and cooked- each of them was just missing something though to really make them popWe were at the bar and the seating was very tight. You were elbow to elbow with strangers which is an odd feeling coming out of the pandemic.

Really nice vibe in Ossington and the lamb chops are phenomenal. Also did not know carrots could taste like candy, but it can. Great selection of Greek wines to choose from as well.
