My favourite place to get fresh and super tasty bread! I can’t even explain that I can’t go back to “regular” bread now, because Mabel’s bread is so so good.
Friendly service. Fresh bread is great and a lot of options for those with dietary restrictions (Gluten Free, Dairy Free)
Stopped by today and got the yummiest Lox bagel! They make their own pickled red onions, absolute perfection. I also commend Mabels on their commitment to safety and are keeping the mask requirement for shoppers and staff. It's such a little space, I'm so thankful to not have to worry. You gotta try this place!
If you're going to enforce a mask mandate, you should have masks available to customers. Actually usually wear a mask but today i forgot. Why did you remove the plexi glass but implement a mask mandate? Makes no sense.I didn't even get a "hello". My greet was "Do you have a mask?"
My wife stopped by your store today. As she was pulling in a wagon with my son an employee greeted her with "put a mask on please". Of course she didnt have one as the mask mandate has ended. She didn't realize you had a policy still.We respect your store policy and we will not spend another dime at your store again.
I bought an apple pie from Mabel’s for a family dinner and was incredibly disappointed. The crust was OK but the filling was terrible - the apples had a bizarre rubbery, chewy texture and were cut in massive chunks. I suspect that the filling was made from rehydrated apples rather than fresh. Nobody liked it or wanted seconds (really saying something for us!). Really not what I was expecting given Mabel’s reputation and the fact that I paid >$20. Maybe pies aren’t their specialty, but it was still a huge letdown - I could have gotten a better pie from the grocery store. Won’t be going back.
Don't believe the hype!Yesterday I bought large Apple from Mabels for the first time.It was awful!The crust was soft and chewy.The apples used were tasteless.The stuffing fell apart.The most expensive Apple Pie I have bought and the worst ever!
The food is great. I love the bread and they have excellent quiche and cookies, but the customer service at the St. Clair location is completely disorganized. I find I am regularly served by multiple people who get my order wrong 30% of the time. I have walked out several times without all the items I have paid for because they did not put them in the bag. Watch them carefully, review everything you have asked for and paid for before you leave.
Everything here is delicious. I think I have tried every item- sweet and savory. You will not be disappointed
Made an online order and came during the pickup window they gave me. They said they prepared some online orders but didn’t prepare mine. She said sorry but left be a bit confused why they couldn’t prepare mine. Wasted my time ordering and making a trip.
