I came here with my family and I absolutely love it. The tacos both beef (in appetizer menu) and the fish (main menu) were absolutely amazing. I found the salad portion quiet small but it tasted really good. Also their shrimp dumplings were really good as well, I had their truffle burger at the leaside location and that's worth a try as well. The location and vibes are amazing on a week night out and they have a good selection of beers of well that you should defiently check it out.
Good experience overall. I got the bbq Korean pork bowl, the flavours were amazing. The portion size was kind of disappointing for the price though. Drinks we good, desert was good.I’ll come back because a few friends live in the area
Food quality has dropped significantly in the past few years, while prices skyrocket! Great vibe and friendly staff, but very disappointing to see the value in food plummet. Example - Hand full of the tiniest wings I’ve ever seen $17.50 … Nacho Plate $18.75 for a relatively small plate of unimpressive nachos ….. we love going here for the vibe, and don’t mind paying higher prices for food provided the value is there …. Unfortunately it hasn’t been lately.
Poor takeout service. Ordered a couple times over the last year and every time they messed up my order. I attempted to reach out after and have never heard back. 0/10 recommend for takeout.
I’ve been here many times and have ordered various things and they were all impressive. Delicious food, amazing dog friendly patio, fantastic service. It’s one of my favorite places in Toronto to eat and grab a beer, especially when the patio is open. Highly recommend. Some of the dishes I would recommend trying are the fried chicken ramen, the truffle cheeseburger, and the poke. You can’t go wrong.
Service was exceptional, server was attentive to our orders and came at the perfect time to refill drinks and take away our plates. Wasn’t much of a fan of the interior but the dinner had made up for it, portions are also decent considering the price. When you visit do give the BBQ Rice Bowl! The Mexican Fish Tacos were also not the best.
Great experience at the Local Public Eatery. The staff was so attentive and it was a perfect place to catch up with friends since it isn’t that loud. I strongly recommend the shrimp dumplings and the Roti and Curry (especially because of the delicious sauce). Overall I plan on returning very soon!
The local public eatery always delivers. The vibe is always great, their food is consistent and they have something for everyone. The staff is always friendly as well. It's a regular spot I tend to go when I'm in Liberty village. Highly recommend checking it out. They are also accessible and have a lift for those who need it.
Did not know how delicious the food here is, until we accidentally visited this place. Ordered the Crushed Sangria, crispy potatoes and Enchiladas. Every single item exceed the expectations. Must visit if you are around.
I have been frequenting local for yearssss and it used to be my favourite go-to restaurant, never had ANY complaints!!! On occasion the local fried chicken would have a fishy taste, but I let that slide because the food and service was sublime. I’ve supported this restaurant religiously throughout the pandemic, and never any complaints…but slowly the quality has decreased and today, I ordered local deliver and was gifted with BLACK BURNT potatoes covered in Parmesan in an attempt to hide the mistake, and chicken wings that smelt and tasted like fish sticks. I am disgusted that this is the quality this restaurant sends out…and given how frequently I visit and order from here I was appalled by the response from door dash offering a refund and even more disgusted that these black potatoes and fishy wings passed quality inspection. As mentioned previously I’ve let the fishy chicken slide before due to great service…but that is a recurring issue that should definitely be addressed. Despite the location, atmosphere and my loyalty to this bar…I don’t think I will order again or be back.
