All-you-can-eat-oranges. That's an extra star right there because, come on, how many places can you actually get all-you-can-eat oranges. Mandarin buffet? Extra star just for that.I paid $52 after tax+tip which is a bit on the pricey side I think, unless lunch and dinner are separate but most places don't do that anymore. Maybe it's to cover the fresh fruit though. We asked for meat, and we got lots of meat. No questions asked, just big plates served up. Second round of meat? No problem, same big portions. It got to the point where I was somewhat concerned I might not have enough room for oranges. They also offer fried dough which was quite cool. I think the menu has a bit more variety than other hotpot places I've been to. They also have premium options which costs extra but I assume should be good.
Pros:1. Service - always quick to refill soup bases, very attentive, friendly and professional, never rush you to leave (time-limit is rarely enforced which is very nice)2. Shrimp and Squid Paste - fresh, good texture3. Mushroom base - earthy, decent amount of mushrooms, sweet and light4. Beef Oil base - numbing, spicy, authentic5. Sauce Station - Great variety *not that nut allergy friendly, but understandable*Cons:1. Beefballs or any kind of ball - freezer burnt taste, weird texture2. Pork Bone Soup Base - underwhelming, couldn't soak in much flavour3. Silken Chicken Soup Base - had bad aftertaste since they throw in the unwanted parts4. The good stuff like marbled beef come in much smaller portions
Truly enjoyed our visit to Liuyishou Hotpot. We went straight there after a late flight into Toronto from NYC, arriving around 11:30. We selected Liuyishou specifically because it closed late, and we weren’t disappointed, or alone! The place was packed and we were glad we grabbed a reservation ahead of time. There was a large selection of food to choose from—some highlights for us were the pork belly, the shrimp balls, the stuffed fish balls, and the taro. The dishes of food were delivered to us by a robot, which was a nice, fun touch! The selection of sauces, too, was a highlight. They had even more selection than any hot pot place I’ve been to in NYC. And at the end, we all got to choose our flavor of Melona! I hope I can one day make it back!
One of my favourite places to go for hot pot.The menu has a good amount of options to choose from. The staff is friendly and the service is great. With your first round a robot Butler brings your order. There's a bar to make your dipping sauce. The buffet has fruit, peanuts and other sides. The menu has a good variety to order from. Everything is delicious, you can see and taste that it's fresh. The washroom also has section to freshen up. There are little spray bottles of deodorizer, mouth wash, and lotion. If you're with kids, they have kids cutlery and they receive a yogurt.I wish I took better photos but we always enjoy our time and focus more on eating ?
Hotpot buffet is really good. Nice service, nice dining environment and delicious food. Highly recommended for friends dine out.
Liuyishou is great hot pot spot for spicy hot pot and even not spicy hot pot! Service is good too! They also got great drinks! It's definitely the go to spot!
Ordered takeout of a hot pot combo for 2. Staff are friendly and helpful. The next day the order was ready when I picked up. No need to wait.I had compared a few hot pot places nearby before I made the decision. Liuyishou has the best price with the most comprehensive selection of items included. We only need to add a few extra from our fridge then it's perfect. The packing is good and secured. The big paper bag is a plus. They are easy to carry, especially when I had to take it home by myself. The portion is good. Just about right for 2 people.Takeout hot pot combo is a good way to enjoy hot pot safely during pandemic. Especially when you have elderly at home, or you're too busy to prepare all the ingredients yourself. I highly recommend it.
Really nice hotpot. Delicious food, and comfort service!
First time trying hotpot outside of China. This one was quite good. The Spicy broth was excellent, perfect for cold weather. Ambience is chill vibes, no rushing, the staff was very attentive but knew when to leave you be if you were in deep convo. Menu was vast and service was QUICK. I’d definitely going back!
Was clean and extra effort for the times we are currently in, staff were nice. Added the extra$2 for unlimited choices.
