Poor food. Ravioli with rose sauce had a thick red sauce and the ravioli was something I can get from metro. Not worth it at all.

Love this place. The salmon salad was good and light. Caprese salad, can't go wrong. I love plain old butter with bread, love me some carbs.I also had the fettucine alfredo pasta with chicken and it was yummy, the chicken had grill marks and it was oh so tasty and abundant. I took the rest home to heat up later, haha!Looking forward to more visits here as the service is always good, every server I had was delightful and pleasant and laid back.

I was yesterday in Veranda Osteria after a long hiatus. I remember this place for exceptional service. Sadly what I experienced yesterday was a big disappointment. Before meal came bread with butter. It was brought in a plastic bag like you would buy in the supermarket. Then came pizza focaccia con Arugula e Prosciutto. A dough was as hard as a cracker. Literally it was cracking. Is it that type of pizza but there was no base and arugula and prosciutto was not sticking to the dough and was falling off into my plate as I lifted a slice (not really a slice, a solid triangular cracker). I've never seen anything like that. It was as cold as you can imagine like it didn't come from the oven. Is it covid that changed the character of this place or that I came around 8pm and kitchen closes at 8:30? And they were unable to make a good pizza in a short time? Total was $90 and I left 15% tip and I didn't complain but food was terrible. Looking back I regret I didn't bring this up whole I was there

La Veranda Osteria offers a wide range of traditional Italian food, drinks and desserts. The restaurant lives up its name, when the customers feel like "home" in the cozy ambiance and the service is friendly. If you have a sweet tooth like me, check their massive dessert selection out, my go to is homemade Tiramisu, cheesecake with raspberry sauce and crème brûle.There is also lots of Gluten-free food. Shown in the picture below is a gluten-free chocolate brownie. It is truly a gem of the Kingsway and the staple of the neighborhood, just across from Royal York subway station on Bloor.

Went with my daughter at 6:30 pm to find that we are ALONE having dinner Wednesday 02-02-2022. She ordered grilled calamari and a salad, the moment they put the dish on the table the smell of rotten fish overwhelmed our nose. My dish was pasta with seafood in white wine sauce, tasteless, unappetizing presentation, 2 shrimp, one clam, and crab leg the size of a 3 inch pencil and 2 scallopsthe size of a pencil eraser. . The pasta is cooked in water without salt..literally has no taste. Bread basket was 2 mini Baggett cold wrapped in cling film and butter. We said that we are not going to eat this food. . She came back later and said no charge but the food is fine. She was total dizaster from A to Z. What a dizaster. Shame on them.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed by this upleasent experience. We ordered mussles w/ basil, garlic and tomato sauce and gnocchi w/ gorgonzola. Our mussles and the sauce smelled. So we ended up tossing it away as we didnt want to get sick.Gnocchi didnt look or taste "Italian" at all, but more like Polish gnocchi instead. They were doughy and heavy, seems more flour than potato was used in during preparation, if that is, potatoes were actually used; perhaps they were bought from somewhere and simply smothered in sauce.- sorry,Regards,

Great restaurant with really great location. The staff was friendly, attentive and professional. Had a great time with the family and the food was really great!

Staff is so nice and welcoming. Food is just so good. A MUST VISIT.

Great service. Excellent food - every time.

The meat lasagna was decent with two caveats. There were too many layers of pasta with thin layers of ground beef+sauce (There was cheese sprinkled on top). No whole wheat pasta option available
