La Paella has been on our must try list for some time now and we finally had the chance to have dinner here. The food was absolutely delicious, the service outstanding and Daniel was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. We ordered the MARINATED OLIVES, PULPO A LA GALLEGA (octopus), CACHOPO, PAELLA DE CONEJO and the RICE PUDDING. Everything was perfectly cooked, seasoned and presented - we enjoyed every bite. This is by far the best Spanish restaurant I have been to in the GTA - we will definitely be going back.
Fantastic food, great ambiance and friendly staff.Four of us attended for dinner and had the following:- PATATAS BRAVAS - Fried potatoes with spicy sauce - Potatoes were simple but the sauce was very flavourful. Good portion.- PIMIENTOS RELLENOS - Sweet pimientos del piquillo stuffed with beef cheeks - great flavour and sauce is delicious esp with the house bread.- PULPO A LA GALLEGA - Galician style boiled octopus with olive oil and sea salt - delicious and simple. The octopus was perfectly cooked and sprinkled with smoked paprika and salt. Could have used more sea salt in my opinion.- GAMBAS AL AJILLO - Sauteed garlic shrimp in Spanish olive oil and a touch of Manzanilla wine - AMAZING. We could have eaten several plates of this. The sliced garlic was also delicious.- PAELLA VALENCIANA - Chicken, Spanish chorizo, Jamon Serrano, calamari, shrimp, mussels and piquillo peppers - Delicious tomato and seafood flavours. Fresh mussels, calamari and shrimp. The only overcooked item was actually the chicken which was a bit of a let down but overall fantastic. We upgraded to a 3 person portion (standard is 2).Would definitely recommend the tapas plates as they are good portion sizes. The paella was great but somewhat overpriced in my opinion. Definitely all delicious food and will be back for another visit.
Little gem located on Queen East in Toronto!Totally recommend this spot, the Paella was excellent made with fresh ingredients. The red wine selection/list was proper but my favourite was the Licor 43 (Spanish liqueur) to help with digestion. The service was on point and the owner was super nice...a must try spot in the GTA!
We visited La Paella as a group of four on a weekday evening and tried to taste as much as possible! Our favorite was definitely the paella with seafood! Oxtail and chorizo was also good followed by the octopus. The place also gas a decent wine selection we tried the Los Picos and loved it! Service was fast too!
Food was delicious. It is the best Spanish food we've had in Toronto and my family has been to Spain several times. Staff were great. They offered to rinse my toddler's plates in the kitchen to help with our clean up. Portions were on the small side but everyone was satisfied after dessert. It's a pricier restaurant so this restaurant will be a regular special occasion restaurant as opposed to an everyday type restaurant.
Last night was our fourth experience with this restaurant (two dine-ins, and two take-outs), and it was amazing as usual. We had two starters... the croquettes are not to be missed, and the mushrooms, which were also excellent..plus the waiter brought us some truffle potato chips which were to die for, and excellent bread...all followed by a valenciana paella for four, and it was outstanding... we shared two desserts... a goat cheese cheesecake with a pistachio sauce, and homemade chocolate bars, and they were the perfect way to end this fabulous meal
The croquetas were delicious. Surprised there were chorizo and other seafood in the Paella Valenciana. The portion is a bit small for an $80 paella. Service was very good and I loved decor.
Came here on mom's birthday dinner.Great experience. Recommend for special occasions.
If you like Spanish food this is the place. Absolutely authentic recipes, techniques and taste. Everything we tried was top notch. The food is truly delicious and the service is fantastic. Gorgeous restaurant too, the decor is a perfect balance of traditional Spanish touches but with a modern fresh vibe.Highly recommended!
Waited about one hour for a very basic and unappetizing paella. Very limited seafood on a super thin layer of rice that wasn’t very flavourful. I’ve actually made better at home! Was super disappointed with the service and the cost of the meal. We spent @ $200 for 2 with wine. We were so looking forward to a beautiful night out and loved the look and feel of the place but the meal was very mediocre. Would have been better off spending our money at The Keg (a little more predictable albeit not so imaginative or great ambiance). And what restaurant doesn’t serve coffee????!!! Wouldn’t recommend or return.
