İt's taken me years to write this, I worked as the lead barista here for just under 3 months. I was lead because I might have been the only front staff they wanted to hire, for minimum wage and basically pennies for tip out. I had been told I wasn't allowed to take a break outside the cafe because noone could fill my spot, I sometimes didn't get to take a break at all, and even if I did, I couldn't sit in the cafe and the kitchen had no seat so I put a milk carton upside down to sit. I worked Mother's Day with no break. They wanted me to charge $1 for the takeout bag for scones and I did (lol?).They told me I was only allowed to drink the expired teas in the back for free. Lol yup. And they fired me verbally on spot at the end of the summer and made a post about an older employee returning and celebrated it on their Instagram. Turns out she was on a holidays. Anyway it's been 3 years but it still physically hurts to walk past this place and the word tea service is now forever tainted for me.

Had a take out afternoon tea for a birthday. Food was very good.

Came here to pick up tea for Mother's Day. It's a cute, small shop that is well laid out and lit. Street parking is right out front. Friendly staff. It's about as expensive as any other fine tea shop in the city. Sadly they've discontinued their high tea experience, which is why they were recommended in the first place and their hours are very inaccessible, although I don't know if that's because of the pandemic or if they've always been like that. I'd recommend coming here if you're in the neighborhood and want to pop in, but otherwise not search it out due to the very limited hours.

The best scones I have ever had. I am obsessed with them and try not to go every week! Their jams are also so good. Very cute inside too!

I haven’t had such a yummy butter milk scone for a long time. I bought a butter scone with clotted cream. It came with a small container of apricot. Everything taste so good with a cup of hot tea. I wish they can open indoor dining so I can visit them more.

The scones are always delicious, and they are so kind. I hope the day will come when i can enjoy afternoon tea inside soon.

The scones and jams are so delicious! Both made in-house. Variety of teas and confectionery available as well. Definitely worth a trip to downtown

Delicious scones, jams and highly, highly recommend the takeaway tea for one. We had a family tea, and all of us really enjoyed the tea boxes. It was filling and delicious.

I love coming here for all my scones and preserves and afternoon tea fixings. Their staff are always so helpful and I just feel like I'm indulging myself a little when I walk in. They have a lot of their own preserves that they make themselves and many seasonal ones as well. My favourite so far is the rhubarb and sour cherry preserve and I highly recommend it if you're into a more tangy taste.Their whipped creme fraiche is SO good if you want a more local alternative to the British clotted cream (that they also sell). Their tea selections are divine and if you don't know which one to choose, their staff are always available to help.Their scones though...they're next level. They're so fluffy and golden and melt in your mouth perfect. I like to get their frozen mini scones and keep them in my freezer for when I'm craving some.

I love this place. The staff are always so cheerful and prompt. The cheese, jams and chutneys are very good and there are so many to try. This place has been great everytime I've gone.
