So I am currently in Toronto(this is my last night), and the first full day I was here I decided to explore Chinatown and this was the first restaurant I hit. At first I thought it was going to be okay since a decent amount of people were eating there however I was so wrong. High prices for mediocre food and bad service were big problems. Those were not the worst parts about the experience however. When I first came in, one of the waitresses sent me to a table with no chopsticks or condiment plates(condiments such as chili oil), however other “native” people had both these resources on their tables, so I had to ask the waitress for both things. These must have been racial assumptions from the staff there (thinking that I cannot use chopsticks or do not like chili oil) based on my ethnicity. Nobody should EVER have to ask for any of these resources at an Asian restaurant because they should be on your table right when you come inside. Luckily after that bad seed I found amazing restaurants in Chinatown with way better quality food then that garbage. Now I know the next time I come to Toronto to not even glance at that disgraceful restaurant. Also DO NOT trust SOME of the local guides' reviews that are rating this restaurant five stars and are raving about it. They are most likely writing these reviews under this restaurant's command so both parties can make profit off of them.
They overcharged me by $40 and I didn't receive any receipt. Unethical. Food taste has gone downhill. The only really good dish is the spicy green beans with minced pork!
Really enjoyed the food here. Got the Char Siu(bbq pork) and spring rolls. Everything was fresh and delicious. It is a cash only place though so make sure you have your money with you.
2022 - My husband and I have been visiting Toronto and Kings Noodle for many years now. It seems like COVID-19 has hit this place hard. The prices have doubled and the service is non existent. The food was thrown at us as the waitress walked by us. The food was ok, but it is nothing to write home about. On top of it all, while we were eating they were sweeping and washing the floors. This reviewer no longer thinks it's a must. I am sure there are better places in Chinatown. My stars have gone from a 5 to a 3.2020 - Not much to look at but boy is the food great. While in Toronto this is a must.
I've been to many Chinese restaurants over my life, and I can say with utmost honesty that this was one of the better establishments for it. The food overall tasted great, and portions were good for individuals. The price isn't exactly a ripoff, but it isn't cheap either. But be sure to bring cash, as they don't take card and their ATM charges additional fees.
This is my favourite Chinese comfort food in chinatown! If you are ok with eating organ meat and want something warm and soothing, I would recommend #94 pig’s liver and tripe with meat ball congee. So good.
Barbecue meat was good but expensive. Wonton noodle good, price good. Best food was rice noodle roast pork. Service lacking, needed to request water. Restaurant clean and updated, plenty of room between tables.
I ordered the rice w/ pork chop and sweet & sour sauce dish but I mainly went here recently for the nostalgia. The food here is always good and well priced. Since I’m from KW, we don’t really have great Chinese BBQ spots like King’s Noodle so I’m really glad I was able to come here. The food came out quickly and tasted great!
For the price being charged, the quality of the food wasn't that great at all. Everything was really so-so. Particularly Pan-fried beef with rice noodle which was $20. While waiting for the take-out, what I saw was the restaurant simply re-heats the food (BBQ meat, deep fried Chinese donut, etc.) by putting them in the microwave, rather than freshly made/cooked. This is really a bad practice. Won't go back for sure.
very rude people very nasty food bad flavor ? and they warm it up in the microwave nothing is fresh the chicken was raw with lots of blood coming out .I was very disapoined..
