My wife and I went there for dinner today and overall we have to say we were pretty impressed. Service was fast and responsive and the food was tasteful. Portion was good size and comparable.Would definitely return again.

Wait times are too inconsistent. I ordered some food for take out at 3:15. They said it wouldn’t be ready till 4:10pm. So I assumed they were busy, and said “okay” and went to the dollar store while I waited. I got a call at 4pm saying my food was ready, as if it had been sitting there for a min. So I walked over to grab it, the restaurant was empty with one table of 2. I asked the server how long my order had been sitting there. She replied 20 minutes! The food is expensive, my little meal of a sushi pizza, agedashi tofu, and japchae cost 30$!My food had been sitting there for nearly a half hour… when I got home and opened it up, every thing was soggy and cold.
Great food, great quality, great price! My young family loves this place. We have ordered take out a few dozen times over the past two years, and have never been disappointed. I don't know how the service inside the restaurant for dine in is, but take out has been excellent.
I am very impressed wirh Kibo Sushi! Long story short, after coming home from the hospital after giving birth all I wanted was some local sushi. My family and I placed a big for delivery and unfortunately the Skip the dishes delivery person never delivered our food even though it said it was delivered. We looked at our neighbour's door step and looked everywhere and surprisingly no call either. When we followed up with Skip they said the driver couldn't find our white house even though we live 5 mins away from the restaurant. Extremely disappointed after a rough delivery I contacted Kibo and explained what happened and that Skip the Dishes really messed up. Needless to say, they mailed a gift card to our home and was so impressed with their customer service. So thank you for listening and being a great restaurant! That's how it's done ✔️
I can't comment on the regular sushi, I always order the same thing. The Veggie Maki A. Delicious. I came in to write this review because I'm super pleased that Kibo has stopped using black plastic (which is not recyclable in Toronto). The sushi containers are now PET plastic and therefore recyclable.
Consistently excellent sushi served by welcoming staff. I like that they don’t oversauce or use a lot of Panko in their rolls, the way many Japanese restaurants do.
Great teriyaki bento boxes and tuna avocado rollsSuper long waits on the weekend (even pre ordering) and for some odd reason they cook the salmon in the spicy salmon roll. Gross. This roll should be made from fresh salmon.
That is a shame, I love to order your sushis but i have been really desappointed by my last orders. Almost no cheese or no salmons in the sushis or bad presentation. I don’t understand, if you don’t have enough products just cancel the order and I will order elsewhere. Don’t take my money and spoil my meal.
Tasty maki rolls. The salad that comes with the daily special is surprisingly good compared to other places. Miso was nice and hot which is key. Only complaint is the Maki pieces were very small
