I NEVER thought I would have to write a bad review about this place. Was not able to sit inside today because the girl working the restaurant was not able to have the guest sit together. She insisted about a capacity limit but its just an incompetence of the place. This kind if business would not survive anywhere else with the level or service. Its just that its in kensignton.
I have been coming here for over 10 Years! but it only takes one time to never want to come back......I came in today to get some food to eat it inside. Walked inside the place and there are limited seats, also the girl in the front advised me that they are on "Limited Capacity", which does not make any sense. A family comes in with their abnoxious kids and takes over the few remaining seats and chairs. Instead of having them sit at all around table and MAXIMIZING the seating space they spread out and leave no seats for anyone else when they could have PERFECTLY sat using their double tables. Waitress comes back to toss me the empanadas in bag saying there is no seating space and to wait outside. Instead of arranging for the guest to sit efficiently like every other restaurant does she just looks at my clueless.Establishment has gone downhill, lazy staff that won't even put chairs or table on the patio...
I HAD A 5 STAR REVIEW AND HAVE CHANGED IT TO 1 STAR-long time veteran customer-Today I was shafted outside to simply because there was a group of people that let their little misbehaved children take a table each. The girl working the place showed little common sense saying about capacity limit instead of having the family sit around the table. I use to love this place and now I hate it
I love the empanadas and the salsa is fantastic. Great customer service from very friendly people. This shop is an iconic part of the legendary Kensington Market. You must try it out.
Pricing and service is incredible and their salsa was actually pretty nice. The empanadas themselves were fine, nothing spectacular. Portion sizes are large for the price.
Was lucky to be served as I was one of the last people to be served before the place closed. We enjoyed our empanadas. They were delicious. Great customer service btw. I would definitely recommend this place to others.
Every person I take to try these empanadas falls in love. The chicken and beef are both amazing, and super authentic. No other empanada place can compare, it’s a perfect food to grab and eat on the go if you’re shopping in Kensington. Amazing. Will always continue to come back.
The best food in all of Kensington. The empanadas, the salsa, the salad are all amazing. I especially love the cheese which are only $2.50ea.
All restaurants have been cleared to be at maximum capacity with dine in, these idiots have a red light green light system to let u in the shop which is ridiculous. Then inside the restaurant they are not having dine in, you are expected to take your food and stand on the sidewalk to eat. This is horrible service- to top it off they are beyond understaffed being very cheap on their service. They also ask you after placing your order to go outdoors and wait. I will definitely not go back.
Love their variety of empanadas!! Veggies are surprisingly delish, but you gotta try their corn pies!! They’re so freakin good that we buy a couple to go!
