The absolute best value for food at Yonge and Eglinton! For $2.99-$3.99 you can get fresh, hand-made soup dumplings and BBQ pork buns! An absolute steal and the quality of the food is amazing for its price! Can't be beat! Would highly recommend it for food lovers!
The best things on the menu are the mini soup filled dumpling. Highly recommend the pork + crab either steamed or pan fried. I only wish they made they piping hot as they are supposed to be. It tends to come out lukewarm even when you order them as takeout. The other items on the menu are average. Overall it is a cheap, fast, and satisfying lunch option.
So being from Eastern Europe I know a thing or two about dumpling. I make them myself. This place was not very appealing on the inside, but as you know one should never judge a nook by the cover. I only tried the crab and pork dumplings, but that was enough to make a delicious decision. They were spectacular, I did not expect them to be so fresh and melt in your mouth yummy. I was worried that they were heavy but it was the exact opposite. I will try everything on the menu, that's a promise! ❤??March 20-22, I told her 3 times give me the vinegar vinegar she said yes, I get hone no vinegar....omg!
The dumplings here are delicious! Though recently, the price went up from 2.99 to 3.99 for them. They are nevertheless still good value and are always ready when I have a craving!
This is a review for deliveryInevitably, once out of the steamer, the wrapper of the steamed pork mini soup dumplings ($2.99 for 6 pieces) will harden. Nevertheless, even with the delayed delivery (this Eglinton cross-town construction traffic is a bane to freshness) the dumplings held up so that I could still pick them up with chopsticks without any breakage. The filling was nicely seasoned, and the dumpling contained plenty of broth; I could only imagine how much better they’d be fresh. The same dumpling can be ordered pan-fried ($3.99 for 6 pieces) and that extra crust on the bottom, while not pronounced, makes it a little easier to deliver arriving warmer. However, considering the dish commands a 25% premium for this very lightly done crust, I’m not sure this extra step is worth the additional $1.I’d go with the pan-fried chicken dumplings ($3.99 for 4 pieces) instead, while it also could use more time on the grill, at least the dish is unique. These dumplings are bigger in size, just two are substantial, and the filling is much denser. Still, these weren’t as nicely seasoned, so you really need a dipping sauce to counteract the bland chicken mixture.
Cheap and quick bites! There are no other dumpling options in the area so it is definitely our go to. Comparable to Asian frozen ones (decent but not mind blowing). Not a fan of the sui Mai. If you're in the area definitely check it out, staff and service is always great!
Ordered the BOGO sui mai from ubereats and the the pork dumplings. The sui mai gross, not authentic and not tasty, they even look unappetizing (see photo). Pork soup dumplings were good, def stick with those if you come here. Also if you ubereats this, it’ll come cold (inevitably) but throwing them in the microwave works.
For the price and speed, nothing else in the area compares. Xiao Long Bao for under 4, full fried chopped thigh for about 9.99.Juice pork buns are nice too.Late night work and didn't want to cook, they saved me a couple for 2-3 eat full for about $40.Shrimp wontons are a bit bland but it's because it's shrimp only no pork.
My co-worker gave me an order of their dumplings and it was the most delicious dumplings I have ever tasted!! I cannot eat enough of it! Best eaten when hot! Just yummm!!!
I had the spinach dumplings and I was mesmerized by their taste. I never had this huge a dumpling in my life and it was super tasty. The service was also very quick!
