I’ve lived in Cabbagetown for around 5 years now and I’ve loved Johnny G’s ever since. Easily my favourite place to get breakfast. Great portions, very affordable. Better than any chain I could go to.
What amazing service!! Under new management, this place definitely is a hidden gem.Service: 10/10. What amazing service. Great check-ins, great to see all the smiles, and what a warm feeling knowing they care. This was easily a 15/10.Environment: 9/10. This place has some unexpected charm. The windowed doors open wide open welcoming sidewalk pedestrians into the heart of the dining room. Some great painted murals on the walls and… most importantly, it’s clean!!Food: 9/10. The burger was definitely fresh and delicious. Only thing I would change is asking for the bun to be toasted to stand up to that magnificent beautiful thick patty. The mozzarella sticks had a great sauce. Very reasonably priced.

Under new ownership since last November. They're keeping the legacy of this iconic restaurant and well-known breakfast. They're looking to spice up the dinner menu. Great little place in Cabbagetown. Good breakfast choices and the owner works there which is nice touch.Looking to return.
I have known about Johnny Gs ever since I was a young girl. But today I was the most content and satisfied than I have ever been dining at this place. The person who catered to me, literally did just that. He made sure I was taken care of in every way. How I wanted my eggs cooked were done perfectly. Honestly, everything was perfect. He truly made my day. I’m going through a hard time since losing my son. And this wonderful man catered to me like I was his family.Forever grateful. I will definitely be back in the near future.I highly highly recommend Johnny Gs. Simply AMAZING!! ????
I love the halibut fish and chip, here. I also ordered french toast. Overall, good food and service with a smile.

I really like this place! It’s a tiny restaurant but feel very cozy and relaxing. The food was super tasty and the price was decent!Can’t believe that I can find a cozy diner with good price and good portions in Toronto downtown! The servers were super friendly and helpful. We were very satisfied with the food and the atmosphere! Definitely wanna go back again!
Had breakfast here for the first time. We got here for 8am, service was great and the food was tasty. We had the Florentine Omelette special, the five star breakfast special and the Eggs Benedict peameal bacon. All were great. We will be back for sure.
