Read the reviews here and visited the restaurant- honestly the best decision. Had to wait in line, and cannot even complain about that cause it was worth it, of course. Loved the dishes- I got 7 side dishes, including the miso soup with Bibimbap. In addition, had Rabokki and fried chicken, all tasty. Loved the vibe, the food, and the customer service too. The lady who served us wa so kind :')
I do not always recommend a Korean restaurant in Toronto. I usually don't as they are overpriced and mediocre in quality to my Korean palate. My non-Korean friend really wanted to try a Korean restaurant for the first time and I took him there based on the Google Review ratings in the area. There was/is definitely a reason why this place is rated so high. The foods were so good that my friend and I both finished them clean. The prices were relatively cheaper than most Korean restaurants in the city but portions were way bigger. The owner and staffs there are so kind and "Korean-mother-like" that I felt so welcome there. For the rainy and chilly weather today, I had 해물누룽지탕 and it was so hearty. I do not think of many Korean restaurants that offer this dish in a masterful way but Jin Dal Lae is definitely one of them. My friend really liked this restaurant that he is hoping to bring his mom here. If you want to have a good Korean food experience, try Jin Dal Lae. I do not think you will be disappointed.
Tried my first jjang ppong here and it immediately became my top Korean noodle dish!

Amazing pork bone soup, generous side dishes, and really friendly staff. I loved coming here it was so nice on a cold winter day. The prices are also super reasonable, arguably generous for the amount of food they give you for so little. Would definitely recommend anyone come give this place a try.
Really amazing Korean food for a great price. Portion sizes are very filling and big so they make great takeout!
Edit: I have been coming here regularly since the restaurant first opened four years ago. This is still my go to Korean restaurant in Ktown. Food is still amazing and generous portion sizes with reasonable pricing. Service is still A+++++. The owner always checks on you multiple times and always bring more side dishes. Compared to Yummy (across the street arguably one of the most popular restaurant in Ktown), Jin Dal Lae’s service is above and beyond amazing. Please check them out! I highly recommend their Pork bone soup super flavourful large portions enough for two meals!My new favourite Korean restaurant in the neighbourhood!! I have been here plenty of times since it opened and Jin dal lae has never disappointed. Food is always amazing delicious and great portion. Price is very affordable. Very authentic tried almost every dish on the menu and love every one of them. I highly recommend the hot lots and stews. Side dishes are plenty always 8 dishes including seaweed turnip cucumbers kimchi potatoes and more. The servers are very friendly. There is a male server that we have had a few times and he is very attentive and always ready to help you.
Delicious food and always full of people everytime I come here. Very authentic Korean and the ladies that work here are lovely.
Unfortunately I've never been a fan of the flavours in Korean food and didn't particularly like the dish I tried (jjampong/seafood soup), but I can tell this place makes objectively good food and the portions are huge, I had to take the rest home. So many toppings in the soup, I'm used to Viet restos where they don't give nearly as much. I may try something else if I get a rare craving for Kfood
I was so satisfied with the meal we had here. Super tasty, warm and hearty food.Love places like this. No frills Mom and pop restaurant that serves comforting Korean food. Just the thought of the meal is comforting.Honestly, ‘nuff said. If you like Korean food, you won’t be disappointed with Jin Dal Lae.
