Went to the MOCHI store. It was good...but was thinking they would be better. I would go back and buy them again, but not a must have experience. My favorite was the banana split. The cream offered moistness to the donut. My daughter said it was easy not to realize that you all-of-a-sudden ate two...or three. Try it and see what you think...since it is your money.
Love these donuts! Can’t go back to just eating the regular, routine ones now. The mochi flour really does make a difference in texture and taste.. worth the money IMO. And the staff is always helpful and cheerful helping me to decide which flavour to try, because there are new ones every week! Always a satisfying experience.
Got their St Patrick's Day donuts and it was not it. Physically could not finish it. The donut itself was dense and not what a normal mochi donut tastes like. I'm hoping it's a one-off since other reviews and pictures look good.
There aren’t many places to get mochi donuts in Toronto that I know of, great to try it out! I’ve been to Isabella’s a few times and my main complaint is the lack of freshness in the donuts, you can tell they were not made recently. There also isn’t much variety in taste between flavours in my opinion. There’s only a store front that is located right at the doors so you’ll have to wait outside for your order as well.
My expectations were too high. You can get a better mochi donut from Korean grocery stores. The ending flavour of some of the donuts were a bit weird... nothing too special about them. Maybe this weeks flavours were off... but I didn't like most of them - especially passion fruit, purple sweet potato and chocolate coconut.
Mochi donuts were delish! Great texture and just the right amount of icing. The buns were on the smaller side but surprisingly filling. The hot Vietnamese coffee didn’t turn out as expected - I ordered the ‘normal’ and thought there would be a little more condensed milk than pictured. Would come back for the donuts but probably not for the buns or coffee!
Can't believe I never knew about this place. First time trying Mochi Donut and I'm now a fan! The Coconut Pie, Ube and Leche Flan (favorite) ones were great. The texture is addicting. Also, the iced Viet coffee is amazing! Strong recommend.
Love the mochi donuts! We come in whenever we do takeout in the city, and there is always a rotating series of flavors. There are many options and choices that they update frequently on Instagram, so check if you want to know what you're getting. The donuts are made fresh, so store appropriately to keep them fresh...or really just eat them on the same day. They are chewy and light, with the right amount of glaze!
CHEWY MOCHI DONUT GALORE!! Obsessed w/ everything they offer! The mochi donuts itself, the fritters, the drinks etc. They have really perfected the texture of the donuts, super chewy and the sweetness is just the right amount. Its a must for me whenever im in the [email protected] on IG !
I wanted to love the modos here, they look so good in the pictures online! But, it seemed as though they were baked offsite, shipped in large containers, and sold at this Queen Street outpost so they didn't seem super fresh. They have a small pick up table right at the front entrance but the door literally hit my back on the way in, so be careful! (the donut shown in the picture is hojicha latte flavour)
