Used to be my favourite burger joint in all of Toronto. I would come here religiously. After my last time at Holy Chuck I can see the quality has gone down. Would rate this a 3.6/5The burger isn’t as juicy as it used to be. The burger could have been cooked just a little more. And 15 dollars after tax for this little thing is too much.
This place is nothing special. Burger was "ok" meat was dry. I also rate this a 2 star because it is very pricey. Combo can cost you upwards of 25$ which I find ridiculously expensive for a burger joint.I think these type of places should be the first to go under when we are in full blown recession later this year. It's not a good look when you get a burger fries and a mik shake for $30+ dollars, common...
Everything about the meal was perfect! From the brioche bun, marple smoked bacon to the foie gras, hint of marple syrup and white truffle and the fries. The interior looks rather shabby but good food is about the taste. Very highly recommend!
They should really clean up the whole seating area, but the burgers are truly exceptional so I overlook the decor and ambiance. I've never bothered with anything other than the Holy Chuck and an order of hand-cut fries (and a very occasional shake) because they are so damned good, so I am clueless about the rest of the menu.
Came to try their Italian White Truffle fries (17.99) and my friend got a burger. My fries came out crispy, to the point where it was just oil. Very over cooked for fries. Looks like they barely put black pepper on there. I asked for extra sauce on the side and it appears that they charged me for sauce but left me with one container on the side.It was like eating hickory sticks as the fries were too hard. Would not try again.Staff at this location had a hard time understanding when I requested extra sauce. The staff who took my order advised me that they don’t sell sauce on the side. When I asked for them to put extra sauce on the fries then, she walked away confused. It took the whole kitchen to figure out they can put sauce on the side for a customer.
I had the chicken one and also the signiture burger. Both were tasty. The chicken was so crispy, and signature beef was amazing which had salty and juicy beef with crispy bacon and sweet onions. The combination of flavour was superb!
Two beef patties masterfully smashed, nestled within a soft potato roll, topped with just the right amount of crunchy lettuce and chopped onions, and a dash of burger sauce. If you’re looking for a hearty burger meal, this is it!
I got an Uncle Georgie Porgy. It was an ok burger, the chicken was dry. Also ordered truffle fries, which were very salty. I’ll probably won’t come back.
We got the holy duck on a BOGO offer on Uber. It was good but the bottom of my bun was pretty greasy. I think the truffle was overpowered by the beef. It came up with a couple of fries. Overall the burger was good, I’m just not sure if I’d ever get it again.
Casual mid-town spot with fantastic cooked-to-order burgers with your choice of delicious toppings. Mine was perfectly prepared and very tasty indeed. Wide selection of drinks and sides available, generous portions. Burger lovers will want to check it out - never disappoints.
