Okay. Hear me out. I’ve been upset with Hale because I have also been a victim of getting my order wrong after being a regular at Hale… time and time again. But! I decided to give them another chance! AND! THEY HAVE CLEARLY READ THE REVIEWS AND HAVE IMPROVED. The music is at a great (calm)volume, my coffee was correct, - which is the bare minimum. What made my day was that my breakfast order had a heart next to my name which brought a tear to my eye. The staff was very friendly and there are 3 heroes behind the counter who have been here throughout the pandemic. Sabrina, Bri and the woman with rainbow hair. Thank you for showing up everyday. Thank you Hale for listening to your patrons and I hope you keep this up. ❤️

Beans roasted by Hale (Colombia Decaf) are our go to beans. While they are tasty we just found a rock in our bag of whole beans. And this is the second time it happened! First time I chalked it up to fluke. Second time I'd call it a quality control issue: those whole bean bags need to be checked more carefully! I really don't want our grinder destroyed by an errant rock...

Bryton made me possibly the best coffee I've ever had. I ordered a hazelnut cappuccino with oat milk; it was smooth, flavourful, and addictive. I actually went back for seconds!

What happened to Hale? This was my go-to during the pandemic. The owners were super-friendly and knew how to pour a good coffee. However, for the past few months I've noticed a steady downhill slide. Many of the staff are disengaged to the point of being unfriendly, the coffee quality is very inconsistent, the music way too loud, good luck if you want anything but white sugar, and the exterior grounds are a mess. Sorry guys but I'm going elsewhere.

Really went the extra mile. These guys make great coffee. They served coffee at the Collision Conference and would be keen to check out their store.

Nice environment, and all the tables have outlets. But I ordered the flat white twice and it was all burned. Not very convenient when it comes to use of the washroom, sometimes you could wait for half an hour for someone to come from the washroom, because they only have one key.It would be easier, if they just switch to a code.

I love the space and decor, as well as the service. Alas, does not make up for the coffee.I have tried their regular flat white, lavender latte, and their oat milk flat white. Depending on the day I come, sometimes the latte is actually drinkable if the oat milk manages to over power and mellow out the burnt notes in the coffee. Sometimes though it just tastes one dimensionally bitter and I have to throw it out. The lavender latte was a bad call for me, it was a mixture of bitter/floral/soap which was all around a waste of money. I think their cider is decent though.Their food can be quite nice. I tried their salmon toast which was pretty great, plenty of textures and flavours. The baked goods I think are OK, cookies are a bit too dry. I feel if cookies are super crispy they should be thinner, I'm assuming they are meant to be dipped, which would allow the liquid to soften them faster.

Very cute cafe with boho aesthetics. Great for studying and socializing!

Beautiful interior with a open industrial design, excellent menu and drinks. But sadly terrible service you can wait up to 10 minutes for one drink, barrista are easily distracted and very unprofessional, often having conversations with eachother instead of serving customers, I hate to give out bad reviews but after visiting this location multiple times and being met with terrible service every time, I just hope management can pull this place together

I’m in love with the industrial decor and overall coziness of this cafe. I had a London fog latte and a breakfast bagel and I thoroughly enjoyed both of them. They bake their own bagels and when you enter you can smell it. It is divine ?
