Ordered the family special last night and I really appreciated the variety on the menu so that there was something to satisfy the no-spice toddlers as well as the spice-loving adults. Excellent and friendly owners/staff and a welcome addition to the Junction. I would have given 5 stars but felt the chefs were holding back and playing safe with the flavours... My advice would be to go all in and not hold back. The Junction is known for some amazing food joints so don't be shy to stand out. Authentic food always wins rather than playing it safe and muting what is delicious food. The meal was good... And I hope next time it'll be great!
Great food and great service. It's such a pleasure to dine in or take out as the food is delicious and the service and owners are spectacular. I ordered the chili chicken and egg drop soup and it was so delicious I went back to eat the very next day. I will make it my go to restaurant not only for the great food, but the fantastic and friendly service.
I've had my eye on this place since i saw their "opening soon" signage. It is steps away from my house, and right on the way from the bus stop too. Finally got the chance to go last week and the anticipation paid off! I liked it so much I've been there a total of twice more since. The staff is always so pleasant and thanks to their thorough knowledge of the menu are able to give good recommendations (which helps a lot for indecisive people like me). All 3 dishes I've had so far: veg manchurian/ noodle combo plus chicken wontons, spicy garlic chicken/ noodle combo, and deep fried veg chili momos; were all very delicious! Consistently impressed with the quality of both the food and service. Will definitely remain a regular customer and recommend to all my friends (and readers of this review, check em out!!)
I am from Calcutta, so can vouch that the flavors are spot on Authentic Hakka. It is really great to have a Hakka restaurant in the neighborhood. I normally go the Yuen Tung by City Hall or Scarborough. For me, the flavours are a few cuts above Yuen Tung and Scarborough (that is saying a lot). The chillie chicken is light on the batter and gravy is light and flavorful. For chillie chicken lovers, you will know what I when I say "you can taste the flavour of the green chillie". The momos are handmade, takes me right back home and is served with special momo sauce. I would have given 5 stars, but took off one star for small portions - $6.00 for small wonton soup - only 3 small wontons. I don't mind paying the higher price - but the portions could be bigger. The restaurant looked half finished, but I know they just opened 2 weeks ago - so I am sure, they will have all that sorted out soon.Will be going back to Hakka Heaven. No more travelling for Hakka food.
Hidden gem. Unique Chinese Indian influenced cuisine with really fresh ingredients! They’re new since Apr/22 but are worth the visit. They are willing to accommodate if you’re MSG allergic/sensitive, just ask. Very pleasant servers. We will definitely be back!

I went there and got the chilli fish with fried rice and I wasn't that pleased, #1 because the price is higher then all the other hakka restaurants, and not only that the portion was soo small. I had get more food because I wasn't even half full, and last but not least the food didn't really have the hakka taste to it. Please my friends step up your game, if your gonna charge so much makesure you give a big portion. Or else you'll lose customers. Thank you
You don't have to go to Scarborough anymore to get solid Hakka dishes! I ordered a selection of vegan options and was blown away by all of them. The spice level of the dishes is manageably hot instead of sweating and seeing through time. Friendly staff, reasonable prices and definitely an independent restaurant that is worth supporting!
Great food. Savoury Haka food. Staff is very accommodating to my orders rather complex order due to allergy. I am very pleased with the service.
