That was extremely disappointing. I got a basic roll and it was pretty expensive, 12 dollars. I thought portions or quality might have been better. Well I was wrong. I got a tiny roll with the salmon skimped out on and the smallest dollop of cream cheese. The roll didn't taste any different either in terms of quality compared to cheaper sushi places. Not that you could taste anything much other than cucumber and rice since they made sure to save on the salmon and cream cheese.
A great family friendly restaurant. It actually gets really busy so it's recommended to make a reservation. The food is always good (a bit pricey tho) and they have some unique rolls and tempura items. It was also a pleasant surprise when we saw they cut up our roll into 10 pieces because we came as a party of 5 (as opposed to 8 pieces). The only thing is their sashimi boat selection wasn't that good this time as it was mainly just salmon and tuna. Overall, it's a nice place with great service and a warm atmosphere
Great food and service! Atmosphere is nice and the serving staff are so pleasant (I find this super rare nowadays at sushi places). Everything we got was yummy! Only reason for the one star less is the food is a tad bit expensive for sushi BUT great quality.
This is one of the best Japanese restaurants serving incredible, delicious and healthy food. I totally recommend it. The atmosphere is nice and the waiting time is short. The staff is friendly.
Sashimi was fresh and servers were friendly. They also served us fried dumplings from the house while waiting.
Popular with the weekday lunch crowd. Sushi was fresh and menu was expansive. Booths and photos gave a nice, home-y touch in an otherwise industrial area. Service was standard (went on a weekend). Overall slightly pricey.
Great place. Nice staff. Vegetariano options. Maki, Udon soup and salad are delicious. And the price is not expensive. We will go back for sure. Hot sake highly recommended.
I am a neighbouring business in the same plaza as Gonoe Sushi.I order from them as a treat once a week or so and this is the best sushi I’ve ever had in my life. They use the freshest ingredients, the facility is so clean, they have unique little huts to sit in privately. Awesome atmosphere and humans that run this place.Not to mention they are a pleasure to share a plaza with, Very peaceful kind and thoughtful! Sushi was dry and tiny. Rice was falling apart. Packaging was a mess. Had better sushi at grocery stores than this. One star each for the miso soup and salad
Way overrated. The fish are not fresh. Feels like they have been in the fridge for at least a week. The beef teppanyaki is way over cooked. The octopus, instead of tender and bouncy when bitten is powdery instead. Ewww. At this price range, there are better choices.
