I've been a chef in this city for over 20 years and would like to think I know what I'm talking about regarding food(although lots of chefs don't, maybe I don't either) Golden Diner is BY FAR one, if not THE BEST DINER'S IN THE CITY! The souvlaki can't be beat, and so many other awesome items. Great portions, great price, and tasty AF. This place is such a gem.
Efficient seating. No reservations required. The front guy serves the clientele quickly. In the basement of a building, near Allen Gardens. Has all day breakfast for a reasonable price. Large portions. Can get a breakfast with a small orange juice and tea for $14-16. Filling. The most interesting part of going to this place is the clientele which include university students trying to save a buck, firefighters and construction workers getting a bite, and some regulars. Not meant to have anything fancy. Didn't really like the rye bread that I added for $0.75...too dry and not much taste. Fruit bowl was big and actually have a variety of fruit: green apple, cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon, and oranges. Waffle was fluffy...wanted more and could use yogurt or whip cream on the side. Happy I don't have to worry about getting in before 3pm to get breakfast. No fuss diner with standard breakfast. Obviously steady clientele as take out was constantly being ordered and picked up. Booth seating with separating walls. Overall okay for a breakfast without any fancy stuff, wish they had lattes.
I really enjoy the food here. It's been a while since I've been there. Perhaps it's time I pay a visit. The waitress Maria is very very nice and provides excellent service. She really does her best to ensure the client has an excellent experience. The cooks are really nice too. Also it does have that cozy feeling to it though it's quite dated. It is always clean.
I craved a fry-up for brunch after a bit of a fun night and this place hit the spot!Pretty typical cosy diner and I was amazed how one gentleman managed the entire front-of-house so efficiently and still managed to remain calm & polite. Kudos to you, sir!As you can see, my order had a bit of everything (bacon, sausages, ham) with 3 eggs made-to-order, home fries, buttered toast & a pancake - just what I needed! Comes with a slice of fruit, OJ and some more butter & maple syrup for that pancake. The sausages were delicious & the bacon was nice & crispy. Will definitely be going back to try the other food!
A local diner that’s beloved by regulars. This has been my go-to spot for diner food since I was in university and over the years the quality still hasn’t changed. I always get their eggs benny because their hollandaise sauce is the best I’ve had. They have an extensive menu and great service!
We had the pork chop dinner special at The Diner. It was very good and an excellent dinner for the price. I am a regular customer at The Diner and the food is always good and a good deal for the prices and the staff is also excellent at The Diner. I would recommend anyone to go to The Diner for breakfast or lunch or dinner. Thank you

Really love this diner, ate there all the time before the pandemic (still order from there now). The only drawback is that it isn't accessible, but I call ahead and they bring the food out to me on the sidewalk. Friendly staff and terrific food for really great prices. Traditional diner food as well as pasta and some greek dishes. Great quality! Peace. ?
Everytime I come here I order something different and it's always delicious. The fried egg and bacon sandwich was so perfect! That with a glass of orange juice and I was one happy and satisfied woman. This is definitely my go to place for good food and comfortable atmosphere.
Nice meal. The service was good. The steak was more than medium rare that I requested. All in all, a good meal.
