Its been a few years since I have seen Mr. Donovan (I haven't been to Toronto in a few years) but his shop is one of the better Jamaican spots in Toronto close to Downtown. I will be back this weekend for Caribana. Big ups to the whole Wong Family!

Daaaaaaaaamn... Gerry's is a must. I've been a loyal customer of Alberts for years but when Albert's was closed on Monday and I need my jerk chicken fix I had to improvise. My neighbourhood friends had always spoke highly of Gerry's so I checked it out.I was NOT disappointed. The food was amazing. Taste of the islands. And the gentleman even gave me some fresh warm coconut cookies with my order.Thanks guys. Can't wait to see ya again!
Went to Gerry's for the first time and well now I regret not going even sooner. Walking in I ordered a Chicken Roti (which was fantastic) and asked, what else was good for next time? Taking the time to walk me through my options, I ended up also getting a little sampler so that when I do go back now I know what to order. So now I can honestly say all the options are excellent (that jerk chicken, wow) and well worth the visit. This is a place everyone should support, a family run business focused on quality and service. I will be going back and I hope others join me too.
So grateful to have a spot like Gerrys in my neighbourhood!! I have tried a lot of patties and these are hands down my favourite- so flavourful! The curry chickpeas and desserts are also all amazing.Cant believe this place has been here for 40 years! My first time trying beef patties. I got spicy ones and they were so flavorful and delicious. I loved the interior decor of the restaurant too.

Well established multi - generational, small family operated Jamaican Restaurant... Clean and Friendly ... Authentic Jamaican home cooking served with a warm smile and light conversation... I quite enjoyed the Chicken Roti and My Friend had the Beef Roti ...Their Jamaican Black Cake is among the best I have had ... Will be back often ...Also looking forward to getting My Bun & Cheese fix again come Easter season ?
