Had a fantastic breakfast and Americanized here this morning while sitting in the sun on their patio. i had the basic breakfast despite the delicious looking options of Lobster Benny and Tiramisu pancakes as I was in a rush and didn’t want to rush through those dishes. I did see them passing by and will be going back to try both. The service was excellent too.
Wow wow wow!!! Absolutely stunned by this restaurant ! We were just walking around the area and happened to see a cute restaurant Were we could satisfied our hunger. Didn’t know I was about to try the best pancakes in Toronto! Lovely decor, outstanding customer service, delicious food and super nice prices! All in one…. Their mimosa’s are also super good and my husband loved his Montecristo sándwich. They also have amazing vegan options and super tasty. You have to try it! Can’t wait to to take everyone I know to this place.
This bar is so nice! I love the decor and how it is all put together. At night it has such a good vibe and is a must go in east end!Also, Abbey and Michelle were an amazing team and made our visit exceptional - thank you!
Went here this morning for brunch, the first time in a restaurant in a long time! So glad we picked Gardel. It's gorgeous inside, has huge windows to let the sun shine in. Staff is super friendly and helpful! Thanks for the recommendations Will!Had the apple pie french toast and it was perfect. Not too sweet, just right! Will be back again soon!
I hosted my birthday dinner here and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.The back patio is winterized (heated and covered) as well as beautifully adorned with elegant decor and electric fire stands. The patio is large and it was the perfect space for my group of 16. They have a specially curated wine list, a wonderful cocktail list - or you can opt for the bartender to make you something fun.I ordered the yuca gnocchi and it was amazing. The staff were all super kind and accommodating. Whether it be for a date night or group outing - Gardel is a wonderful choice.
Came for brunch. The staff were friendly, the room was charming and comfortable, though all high-top seating might be an issue for some. The staff, both FOH and BOH were all lovely and attentive. The menu has a great variety on offer, all more than reasonably priced and well executed with generous portions. I very much enjoyed the Monte Cristo Club. If you're in the hood it's worth popping by for brunch.
My wife and I really enjoyed our meal here tonight. We shared the cod appetizer, truffle fries appetizer, gnocchi and my wife had the steak fries. Everything was delicious.
This was easily the worst brunch experience I have had in Toronto. Three of us waited for food for over two hours and it eventually just never came and we had to leave. The staff only communicated that they were short staffed 45 minutes after we ordered food and at no point was there an offer of accommodation or any kind of explanation. Another table who arrived 20 minutes after us was served before us. I appreciate that things come up but this was deeply disappointing and I would discourage anyone who actually wants to eat from going here.
Food and drink was amazing. Gnocchi was perfect, marinated olives were a great size and delicious. Such a varied drink menu, something for everyone. The only reason I'm rating 4 stars is because as wonderful as the live music was it was incredibly loud and had difficulty catching up with my friends.We ended up leaving and going across the street to a different patio to continue having drinks.Live music is a great perk but in the era of COVID, most of us don't get to see our friends/family often and meet at patios to catch up. Maybe the band could play some softer music?
Everything was so good! We ordered a chorizo dog and the ahi tuna salad and a sunset spritz! Sounds simple enough but was so tasty! The lady who was juggling bartender and waitress duties was super and friendly. I’d be back for the yuca gnocchi!!!
