Came across this place while we were walking around queen west. The staff are really nice and welcoming. The pricing is really worth it! 2 tacos for 8.99! I got the quesabirria and friend got pupusas and steak tacos (the server was really helpful with recommendations). I loved the quesabirria! It was loaded with tender beef and cheese, onion and cilantro on top, lime too. It's very filling and comes with consomé on the side and this crazy hot sauce that will light your mouth on fire (I love hot sauces and spicy food and can tell you this is the real good stuff). It's messy so be prepared for that, they give you wet wipes and napkins so you're all set. The vibe of the place is really nice and great spot to hang out with friends. They have Jarritos which I love sipping on since I don't drink. I liked eating here and already recommending to friends.
This place is incredible. I eat here often. Pop in for a drink and chat with the staff. The food blows my mind every single time. I forget how good it is. The staff are very welcoming and the atmosphere is really authentic Mexican feel.I absolutely love this place. If you’re reading this review. Go. Get some food and drink!!
I would come here for the experience and atmosphere but probably not for the food.I had the tacos which were nice and good value but lacked a bit of flavour and punch. My partner had a burrito and we aren't sure if it said it was spicy on the menu but it was almost inedible and she's good with spice. Maybe put that spicy sauce on the side as it ruined the burrito which otherwise would have been really nice.So I would recommend it to anyone who wants a fun night with music and a buzzing atmosphere but wouldn't if you are looking for above average flavours.

The ambiance looks great. We went in for a quick beer. Staff was nice. We had a few appetizers and it was not the best, the chef is from Mexico so I hope their food is better!
I've honestly never had a better in-house and pick-up experience. I was recommended Frisaca by some friends before moving down to Toronto and quickly fell in-love. I'd say I'm very particular with my food and Frisaca's dishes go above and beyond all expectations. There's tons of flavour within each dish, the homemade/authentic quality cannot be matched. On-top of the amazing food is incredibly kind and good hearted owner. I've become a regular customer and it's always great to be recognized and have a catch up. Frisaca is my Friday meal pick-up and I can't wait to introduce more of my friends to the experience!
Honestly such a cute warm place to go for some authentic mexican food! All the tacos (fish, chicken and pork) we had were amazing and the service was quick and efficient. If you are in the area, definitely give it a try.
Pupusas definitely 5 star, but the tacos were only okay. The beef was over cooked and not too much flavour. Their tortillas, beans, and rice were all good. The rice portion was a bit small for the price.
Best authentic Mexican Cuisine in Toronto
It’s nearly impossible to get a table at a restaurant in Toronto on a Saturday night if you don’t have reservations, so I went here on a whim because they had a table avail….And I’m so thrilled to have come here!The food is impeccable. It was quick, super fresh and the portions are a great size. Probably one of the best Mexican resto/bars in the city.It had a fun vibe and definitely a place for a date or with a group of friends. You won’t be disappointed.
