I love fish and chips and I believe I have tried most of the fish and chips place in Toronto. I still keep coming back to Fresco! Adding the **Miss Vicky’s batter** is a must !!! So goood !!! My super picky mom loves it too ! Also they play Beatles .. loving the old school vibe in this busy city :)

Hands-down the best fish and chips in the city. Always fresh with generous portions and the store is just a fun spot. Beatles memorabilia and posters everywhere. If you like fish and chips, this is definitely your spot.

Excellent fish and chips in Toronto at the Kensington Market. French fries are massive. They love the Beatles here. Good price as well.

I got their meat chill poutine. I loved it. It works well with the cheese curds and the chill is solid. I highly recommend it when you come here. Definitely the best poutine spot I had so far in Toronto.

chips came aplenty and was the highlight of this first-time take out experience; fish should be swimming in salt seawater not oil:( t'was a tad bland as well and not that crispy (could be my timing picking up?) oh well, thank goodness life goes on

The 4 of us ordered halibut, cod and haddock fish n chips combos, and chicken wings with honey garlic sauce. All fish were fresh, batter/crust superbly made - crispy and thin. DELICIOUS! I liked halibut the most. Fries tasted great too, but cannot finish all. Next time I'll order just fish and steal some of friend's fries. Chicken wings, so so for me, too sweet and a bit tough.

I haven't been to Fresco's in many years and went back today, it was even better than I remembered it! I stopped by after a gym class and was starving! I wasn't sure if a fish sandwich would fill me but I was so wrong! The halibut was so fresh and meaty just as the friendly owner promised! The sandwich was delicious, definitely coming back again soon!

Place could use a little more heatOver all experience food was 8/10We got the fish and shrimp special ,the fish was nicely coated and the shrimp wasAmazing 10/10Unfortunately the poutine wasn’t the greatest the gravy was cold 2/10 but the portions were reasonable actually for two people place could use more cleaning too

5 years since I had their fish and chips; and the poutine are still the best in town! No regret driving 1/2 hour just for these.

Price: Fish n chips are pricey in the city no matter where you go!My experience: I got delivery and I tried the cod and they are pretty huge. One side of each piece got a bit soggy so the crispiness was lost (maybe poking holes in the box would help them stay crispy?). For $20 I do expect the delivery packaging to cater to the main dish. The tartar sauce is absolutely delicious as well as the coselaw; it's creamy and crunchy.Tried the Quebec style poutine and was impressed by the flavour of the gravy and the ratio of curds to fries to gravy. The gravy is so buttery it practically melts on your tongue ? the curds seem authentic, not melted but nice chunks throughout..I didn't know the best poutine in Toronto would be a Fish n' Chips spot! ??I highly recommend this spot for the poutine alone (can get a large for a meal) and the Fish n' Chips hits the spot when that's what you want.
