Very popular spot with authentic flavours and a dozen or so sitting areas inside and another dozen outside. The flavours of cochinitas was great with the green and red sauce, with lime. The tortillas were authentic tasting and weren’t sauced up enough to completely fall apart before eating. It’s about 12$ before tax, for 5 mini tacos. This equals to about 2.5 tacos so about 4.8$ a taco which is still below Kensington Market prices of about 5-7$, how still pricey. It’s not enough to get you full but it’s a good food taste test before another 2 or 3 tacos or other meal in the area

Kinda blah. Beef tacos were bland and underwhelming - tasted a bit better with salsa verde. Fish tacos were also just ok.There are better tacos in the city, even in Kensington Market.

If you’re looking for some no-frills, simple, delicious tacos. You’ve come to the right spot. They’re unpretentious and authentic Mexican tacos. The taco sizes are small but the servings are decent. I personally love the chicken tacos and hibiscus drink. Service is great too!

Fish tacos are my one true love and el trompo did not disappoint! fresh ingredients and a well balanced taco! Plus their cute patio and drinks make it a great experience. Go early because the patio will fill up fast!

first of all can we talk about the vibe of this place!! super warm and friendly atmosphere that felt super authentic. the menu was very affordably priced, had tons of options, including a few vegan options, and customizations. the service was fast, portions were large and the food was very flavourful. the vegan fajitas were really good and warm.

You literally could not get more authentic Mexican food than this. The patio is nice, but I personally enjoy sitting inside - it's like being invited over to eat at a family friend's house than being at a restaurant. Service is friendly, personal and absolutely delightful. Food is fairly priced and generously portioned. I recommend the Jamaica and Horchatta drinks for something light and refreshing. There's nothing negative I can say about my experience here!!

Tacos were extremely bland, barely any seasoning, just not good at all. Service was poor, our server kept trying to rush us when we were browsing the menu and made a rude face when we told her that we needed some more time before ordering food while we were trying to enjoy our drinks.. the whole time it felt like they were trying to rush us out. Would not come back again and would not recommend.

Authentic, the tortilla is authentic, the size of the tacos are correct, they give you 5 tacos for $12. The chicken was a bit watery, but it was tasty. The Al Pastor tacos were really good. It was a nice patio experience in Kensington market. The staff here speak Spanish, and are very helpful. They even have water for our dog. Thank you, I will return.

I don’t usually give a restaurant 3 stars but I am this time. I ordered beef tongue, grilled beef, mushroom and onion tacos on Uber when I got the food I was literally shook they look so bland and were literally tasteless…the meat was dry and tasted unseasoned…idk what to say I’m not sure if it was because it was delivered to me but I’ve ordered tacos from other restaurants multiple times before it was never like this? Honestly I’m so confused bc judging from the ratings and comments the food was supposed to taste bomb…
