Chicken Enchiladas with Red Mole Sauce. Just the right amount of heat. Served with rice and smoky refried beans.Tasty non-alcoholic drinks. Horchata - sweet and creamy - almonds, rice and milk. Jamaica Agua Fresca - chilled sweetened hibiscus tea.I enjoyed the mole so much I went back and had it again a week later.
Pretty bad. I lived in Southern California for 9 years & South Texas for 6. I know they’re not Mexico, but the presence there is ubiquitous & there’s real Mexican restaurants everywhere. I was looking on the menu for a michelada & asked the server if they could make one; no. What kind of Mexican restaurant can’t make a michelada? So I ordered a Rumchata - horchata & 1 1/2 oz of rum. It came in a small old fashioned glass. There was no taste of rum at all in that drink. 1 1/2 oz in a glass that small would be very noticeable. So they’ll cheat you on your drinks. It was Saturday morning, so I was looking for huevos rancheros. They don’t do breakfast, but they have eggs. Server said that he could ask the cook to add an egg on top of chilaquiles?!?! Got a shrimp burrito. $ 20.00 for this. And it arrived cold. So I sent it back. The server returned with the burrito. They didn’t make a fresh one, just reheated it. They burnt the outside of the tortilla but the inside was still cold. Sent it back & asked for my bill & left. Save your money. Go somewhere else.
A “Disney moment”. Google only allows you to give 5 stars but believe me I would give another 5 if I could. This place is the real McCoy. We had 3 main dishes and they all were absolutely delicious.
This place is the real deal. After recently vacationing in Puerto Vallarta we've been on the hunt to find quality Tacos Birria. They are perfectly crispy and the meat is so tender and flavourful. We even drank the consume after we finished dipping our tacos. We also got fish tacos baja style which were equally as amazing. They were lightly battered, crunchy and so flavourful.Sure, the tacos may seem a bit pricy but there is no way you will be walking away hungry. Also, do yourself a favour and get the Jalapeno Margarita. Perfect blend of spicy, sweet and salty! Chefs Kiss!
My favorite Mexican restaurant in the East End. I fell in love with birria tacos on a recent trip to Puerto Vallarta and was ecstatic to see them on their menu. They did not disappoint and were absolutely delicious. The consomme they serve with the tacos (used for dipping but is the same liquid that the meat stews in) was so good I couldn't help but drink it after I finished my tacos. We also ordered the fish and shrimp tacos as well and both were excellent. The jalapeno margaritas were also very good. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the food came out quickly, was hot, fresh, and delicious. I'll 100% be back, maybe even weekly!
One of my favourite Mexican restaurants! Always a good time here. Beautiful interior and live music on weekends. My faves are the fish taco and jalapeño lime cocktail. Super tasty!
I visited in mid-April but wanted to comment that the service was really slow to the point of being inconvenient. It took us over 30 minutes to get our bill, no one checked on us so we couldn't order more drinks, and the restaurant was not even half full at this time so it wasn't overly busy. I ordered the Jamaica burrito and while it tasted good, the hibiscus filling had so much sand or grit in it that I couldn't finish it. My partner enjoyed the birria tacos though, and the drinks were nice.I know this place opened recently so these things might improve as they settle in. I'll probably give them another chance, but my first impression was not great.
Went recently on a Friday night, with our 2 young kids. It was fantastic. Super family friendly. My husband and I shared enchiladas and fish tacos. Nachos and guacamole for the table. They do have a kids menu- our kids chose the cheese quesadillas and chicken fajitas. They also had juice and a dessert included. Everything was so delicious and authentic! And the live entertainment was a nice surprise. We will most definitely be back.
As a native of Texas I'm always on the hunt for good Mexican food. I got the fajitas and they were terrible. Everything was bland, they were chopped way too fine, and the meat appeared to have been cooked in a pan instead of grilled. Add to that very slow service and this is a hard pass for me.
Was hoping this would have been a nice go to Mexican restaurant but unfortunately it's not. I ordered a mix of 3 taco's... chorizo, beef and pork, the meat was tasteless and tough! The chips with guac was good but that's about it. The service was lacking, never came around to even ask if we wanted refills on our drinks or offer any napkins let alone ask how the food was. There were only 6 people including myself and my guest in the whole place so there's no excuse for bad service.
