Came in today to pick up some hard candies and caramels. The lady was super helpful and extremely kind. Left with a bag of candy along with a latte and one of their gratin dauphinois (great flavour, I should've bought some more). Will definitely be coming back.
Had a chausson aux pommes and it was a shock. I'm French myself, accustomed to the flavour of real butter in pastries, etc. This was made with some other fat, and had a rancid taste as well! I was unable to eat it. We have had other imported things from this shop without incident, but this experience has me on the lookout for cheap ingredient substitutes that maybe they hope will pass unnoticed........
The owner of this store stands behind every single one of her products and is incredibly helpful. These truffles are truly indulgent and delicious. We have also tried some of the French pastries from here in the past and they were also fresh decadent and tasty.
During Omicron I entered this establishment. The owner does not wear a mask and claims that she has a medical condition. Though it is impossible to dispute this, without having a discussion in a tiny boutique with a woman who has no mask on, it is unlikely the case. If it was in fact the the case then she would have had Plexiglas-glass barriers between the serving area and the sales floor.
Great service and delicious French pastries. I highly recommend this place for French Madeleine. They are not only soft by moist at the same time. Also, they offer a good selection of French pastries from freshly basked croissants to apple turnovers. Go for it!
A lovely little cafe and shop offering imported goods from France. It’s not a fast food cafe but a place to stop, enjoy and savour. Imported and fresh baked croissants and other goodies. Try a cannelé if you’ve never had one before!

A cute little authentic French Cafe in the middle of Greek town. You know how good it is the moment you enter the cafe, the aroma of all the bakery products and chocolates hits you hard. I tried their best seller ‘almond chocolate croissant’ and I instantly knew why it is so popular. The prices are on the higher end but would definitely love to visit again to try more bakery items.
Whenever I am in the area I like to come to Douce France and get their pastries, macaroons and their dijon mustard. Today, my sister was with me and I insisted that she come into the shop to get some of their products. The moment we entered the store, with my young niece (who is only 3 months old, so she was not touching anything), I noticed the scowl on the owner's face, but thought nothing of it as she is usually so pleasant. My sister was looking at some candies that she thought might be nice to try. She was unsure if they were soft or hard candies and she gently touched through the cellophane bag to feel their texture. It was the first and ONLY thing that she touched in the entire store. The owner immediately, and in an incredibly loud and rude voice, said "please do not squeeze our products" as if my sister had been going around the store squeezing things. My sister, very quietly and without argument, decided to leave the store while I was waiting by the cash to pay for my purchase. As my sister was walking out the door, the owner, apparently intent on being as rude as possible, looked at her and once again said very rudely "thank you" as in "thank you for leaving".Naturally, I left my purchase at the counter and I will not return to, nor can I recommend, this store again. I am someone who not only makes an effort to support small businesses such as this one, but encourages others to do the same. However, a desire to support small businesses does not equate to a willingness to tolerate a business owner's disrespect towards their customer. The behaviour exhibited today was unprofessional and completely without reason.
