It was the best chicken sandwich I've ever had in my life.Very juicy!!! I ordered medium heat and it was on point. The fries were also crispy and delicious.I would definitely recommend and would love to come back! Ding a Wing is definitely number 1 in Toronto
Had it twice and both times were excellent. First time I had the chicken thighs and second the chicken breast w-coleslaw, pickles, and pasta salad. Chicken was not oily and not heavy. Didn’t feel tired after and to me that shows that they change the oil regularly and everything was fresh. Highly recommend.
Chicken was very overcooked and dry, tasted stale like it had been sitting under a heat lamp all day. The fries and chicken are both coated in some kind of overpowering, paprika heavy spice mix which makes everything taste the same. the pickles were good.
Exceptional customer service! We ordered dinner from Ding-a-Wing using Doordash. Our online order was delayed by nearly 2 hours. After getting nowhere with the Doordash customer service line, my wife called Ding-a-Wing directly and explained the problem. Although the delay was not at all their fault, Ding-a-Wing took full responsibility for the issue, remade our meal fresh and offered us a partial refund for the inconvenience. The food was great. The crispy smashed spicy fries were insane! It's not often a business stands behind their service the way these guys have. I'd highly recommend them.
If you dreamt about the most spectacular chicken finger you could imagine, it would be almost as good as ding-a-wings. DAMN! SO GOOD! (get the honey dill dip...)
Fresh crunchy coated wings! Wings were cooked perfectly. Honey Dill Sauce is excellent! The potato salad looks more like mashed potatoes and is a little too sour. But service is great, all my food allergy questions were answered. Will definitely come back. Great wing spot in the neighbourhood
Wings are consistently delicious every time I order. Crispy and high quality meat. The pasta salad and coleslaw are the perfect sides. Crispy potatoes are also great with nice seasoning. One of the best take out places on Roncy!
Great sandwich. Good quality dark meat. Got the big mat, the big Mac like sandwich. Good spice.
I wish I could give this cute spot a better rating, but unfortunately after 4 visits I'm finding the food quality hit or miss. The chicken is thigh meat, and our last sandwich had so much fat and sinew that we threw it out. The fries have incredible flavour, but the last two times they were so overcooked that almost all the fries were crisp and hollow (actually unedible). I don't know if I've just had bad luck because the other reviews are all stellar. If you haven't tried Ding-a-Wing yet, I found the Big Mat, then the Honey Dill sandwiches to have the best flavour.
Ding-A-Wing is a local spot that I adore. If you haven't tried their Honey Dill Fried Chicken Sandwich yet, please stop what you're doing and make a plan to do so. I learned that the deliciousness is embedded deeply into the chicken itself. They brine boneless chicken thighs for 48 hours before buttermilk frying it and adding the perfect Honey Dill Sauce with a slightly acid slaw and garlic pickles on a soft steamed bun. Like I said, go support this local business ASAP. They open at Noon and close at 9pm. I've done a couple laps of the Ding-A-Wing menu and I'm ready to do it again.Chef/Owner Mike Tan opened Ding-A-Wing in March 2020 and it's been a local favourite from the get go. The pandemic inspired takeout/delivery frenzy created the perfect situation for the birth of Ding-A-Wing, delicious fried chicken from a takeout window. Mike beams with pride as he talks about how the community has embraced his culinary vision. It's no surprise that many of our neighbours have quickly become weekly visitors (don't say that I didn't warn you).Mike studied Culinary Arts at Algonquin College, but told me he almost didn't finish, because all he wanted to do was start cooking in restaurants as soon as he could. He's been cooking professionally for 15 years and has done everything from dishwashing to overseeing the catering operations for major festivals. You're also likely to see him around the neighbourhood, as Mike is one of our neighbours and has called Roncesvalles home for the last decade.Happy eating!
